This works for other cars
can you jack up and support the car and hook a jumper cable to the positive terminal on the starter? If so you can hook up the jumper cables to a good battery and a ground on the car. This should give you the power needed to open the doors.

How do I find and access a 2002 Aston Martin vanquish battery. Mine is completely dead and needs to be charged.

IIRC it is in the trunk/boot. However, there is a BATTERY + post in the engine bay so you don't need to pull the trunk/boot carpet up to charge the battery.

Location should be available from your Hand Book.

It is usually under a black plastic cover marked + in a circle. You attach the Positive+ clamp here and the Negative - clamp to a convenient metal engine component...such as a bracket.

WARNING: Modern vehicles are full of electronics. When charging a battery you must either remove the battery from the vehicle or use a low Amp charger set to 2 to 10 Amp for about 6 to 8 hours.

Failure to follow this proceedure will often result in electronic component failure of the 6 to 10 computers (ECU's.) placed around the car. Any of which can cost $1000.00 and up to replace.

I have just re ECU'd a Mercedes for $5,400.00 for a similar mishap !

Many European vehicles are equipped with a ballistic battery disconnect feature ....that disconnects the battery + cable in the event of a wreck. It is a fat bright RED component and must be handled with care.

You will also find some feature on the car will not work after charging the battery due to lost memory. ..such as window express down and radio pre-sets or activation code.

If you feel unable to reset these feature you need to go to the dealership. There are very few shop that are equiped to work on these machines.....and Aston is not forth coming with test information.
