Check your connections. Is batt in rear or front? If batt in rear may be an jump start terminal in eng compartment. Try a batt box jump from there. If nothing, conns/main fuse check should be next.
The way to start is to ck your battery for 12V & clean bat terminals. Ck the ignition fuse &locate & ck the starter relay for power & ground. Jump the relay between the 2 conn (pwr/grd) See if you start.. Key on If OK r/r relay, If it doesn't work, follow the RED wire to the starter & ck for 12V there. Also ck for a good ground conn at the starter (both with good readings & clean conn. If all is well there when someone else is turning the ignition key to start, then the starter is NG If readings at the starter NG, relocate the starter relay. Good luck, Frank M
Most likely ign lock assy has broken wires in the steering column. It wont read resist on key. The wires are very small and tend to break from the ign lock being turn off and on.
sounds like a bad wire connection see they hook that up through the same ign wires the key uses to start it i would pull the auto start module and check for bad conn and on the key not starting it could be a couple of things 1 as explained before bad conn 2 a bad ign switch at the keyswitch
you either have a bad key...did you try more than one key?
Two other things can be wrong..
1) the igintion cylnder (where ya put the key in) has samll wires that sense the pellet in the keys for your car, and often they break, and the cylnder has to be replaced.
2) the passkey module has gone bad.
Either of these problems can be fixed by any compatent mechanic that has cadillac experience.
