I have a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan. The air mode selector dial (face, feet, windshield, etc.) is not working. Heat only comes out by the windshield, no matter what position you have it in. Only been like this for the past 3-4 days. Never had such a problem before. Thank you in advance

You have a vacuum leak. Look under the dash and check the placement of the vacuum hoses that activate the vent doors. One or more may have slipped or may be cracked.

Glad too hear your making progress, sounds like your dealing with a reasonable shop too. For future reference, take notes when your vehicle acts up. The more information you cn give your technician the easier it is to be fixed. Good luck, let me know how you make out.

2013 subaru forester floor heater not working

Did something fall down in one of the vents? Sounds like a blend door is not able to fully move for some reason. If it's still under warranty take it to the dealer.

2001 dodge grand caravan sport speedometer not working, gear selector has all lights lit and does not change when changing gears. My husband says that is seems to be in low gear when driving. odometer, gas...

The speedometer is operated by a cable to the transmission. The gear selector is also a manual linkage. Neither are electronic. There may be something stuck underneath inferring with them directly.

My 2009 Grand Caravan's front windshield defrost isn't working

We have a 2008(same body) with the same issue. Just got back from the Dodge dealer and they said "they're all like like that" #@!& Not a good answer as we live in Syracuse NY home of 150inches of snow/season! Last year the right side wiper blade broke off because it kept getting hooked on the ice in that corner of the windshield. Chrysler should offer a fix of some kind because it effects the visibility of the entire windshield and is dangerous!!! The dealer said the other vents (set of 3 squarish ones) are actually for speakers on some models but they are in a lower/better position to heat the bottom of the windsheild and look like they should be able to have warm air run through them.
I think I'm going to double face tape a small strip of black plastic above the current vents to deflect some of the warm air to the lower edge of the windshield.
If anyone else has a better fix please post.
thanks,
Freexing in Syracuse!

Lights flashing on a/c and air recirulate buttons

Sounds like its gone into programming mode. All you need to do is start your van. (if you are unsure what knob or lever is which I am looking in the manual for proper terms) Then slide your temp lever all the way to the left (full cold). Then turn the Mode Control to 'panel' (the one that sends air to your face only). Then turn the 'blower switch' to all the way to full. Now go to the leftmost three buttons. Press the top one (rear wiper on constant) and the bottom one (rear wiper washer fluid). Hold these two for a few seconds. Once the lights come on solid then begin to flash you can let go. The AC will now calibrate. You will feel the air blow out of all the different zones at different intervals and see lights come on and go off. Then after a minute or two the top bottn you pressed will be slowly flashing. This means it has been completed (I actually let it run for 5 more minutes just in case something else started blinking). Press the last flashing button and you are done.
