The service stability system light comes on on my 2000 cadillac seville and the drivers side front brake grabs then disingages

Probably a wheel speed sensor going bad ,. Have it checked for DTC'S , not OBD 2 codes . antilock brake - C - DTC'S Do you know what DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are .

These systems are very complex , you could have a short in the wiring somewhere to a sensor going bad or the switch for stability control could be bad . The stability control system is typically triggered by the abs system/connector sensor on your wheel hub bearing. If you haven't replaced your hub bearings on the front you may have one going bad. Cheap fix for a diy.

Have it serviced and the mechanic will reset the switch

C0110 is abs pump circut problem. The pump is located on the frame rail under drivers seat area. The abs pump comes on to apply brakes as needed for the stability and abs systems. There is a fuse as well as a relay in the relay-fuse center under the hood on the drivers side. please check the fuse and switch the relay with another one that looks the same.

Most likely the safety feature built into the brake switch. Check to see if the brake lights come on when you step onthe brake. If not, it's likely the bad brake switch preventing you from putting the car into gear. If this is not the case, then you have a security issue and should try a different key to start the car.
