Hi there, My 95 Chev Suburban K1500 driver and passenger doors will not open from the inside when the doors are are either locked or unlocked. Obviously I am only concerned about them not opening when the doors are unlocked. When unlocked, the doors can be opened by rolling down the window and opening it from the outside using the outside door latch. I seems as if something is worn out. If wear is the issue, what parts could wear? Door diagrams and part numbers would be helpful. Thank you!

Inside of the door there are rods that connect from your inside door handles to the the latch mechanism. The rods are connected to both the handle and the latch with plastic clips. To check you will have to remove the door panels and see if the rods are attached or if the plastic clips are broken or missing. The clips are a very cheap part to replace. Any local auto parts store should have them in stock. Also very easy to install. Hope this helps. Happy motoring.

I have a 95 saturn 2 door, the passenger door is stuck closed. The power lock triggers but still wont open from inside or out. Please help!!!

This usually works.
Take a rubber hammer, roll down the window, then manually unlock the door using the inside unlock button (not the power lock button) while you give the door a good whack about half way down where the door lock assembly holds the door closed to the car body.It may take a few whacks and a few lock/unlock cycles but this usually allows the lock to release and you can open the door.NOW.....take off the door panel and lube that lock assembly and don't close the door unless the lock can be locked and UNLOCKED.

1996 chev suburban suddenly cannot open drivers door even when unlocked...have to roll window down pull open from outside...help I have had surgery on that arm!

The linkage to the inside door release handle has come off most likely due to a broken clip. You will have to remove the inside door panel and see what has come apart and replace what ever is broken.

FIRST TRY TO USE LITHIUM GREASE SPRAY CAN ON ALL MOVING ITEMS INSIDE DOOR. AS YOU SPRAY EACH ITEM PUSH AND PULL ON DOOR HANDLE, DOORLOCK PLUNGER. WHILE YOUR IN THERE DO THE DOOR WINDOW GEARS AND MOVE WINDOW UP AND DOWN TOO. SPRAY ALL YOU WANT THE GREASE WONT HURT ANYTHING.
IF STILL DOES NOT WORK REPLACE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR. USUALLY ONLY 2-3 BOLTS AND 1 CONNECTOR WITH 2 WIRES COMING OFF IT.

Power door locks won't unlock + tailgate won't open

your issue involves the master control switch panel on the drivers side and or the passenger side as well some how the contact inside the switch assembly has either shorted out or no longer makes contact for the unlock side of the circuit. replace the drivers side panel switchs it's either a series of switc hs or mostimes one sigle board of switchs. you are better off going to an auto parts store rather than a GM dealership this will save you quite a bit on cash on the parts. now as to the rear tailgate. if it is electronic controled and there is an issue with the master switch you can,t manually unlock it because of a safty issue built in the system. you can manually unlock the passenger compartment doors for thew same reasons of safety but doesn't apply to the tailgate. just replace the parts and this will take care of the problem

Faulty central locking

Get in passenger side and unlock drivers side manually, this will unlock the 4 doors.
