Yes if a recon backstreet alternator is used ,fit a genuine bosch factory exchange unit ,try disconnecting the battery and see if it still goes flat as usual cause is the diode pack in the alternator backfeeding to earth ,hence the bosch unit ,failing which go into the power distribution box and disconnect each circuit in turn to try to find the dran ,most cases it a boot light staying on ,another favourite is a boom boom amplifier staying on ,you know a boy racer big amp in the boot .
Many Thanks for the quick response.
Will you please elaborate more on the boot? Are you referring to the trunk light?? If so, what should be my approach to resolve.
Also, the boom boom amplifier, how do I isolate the problem to the amplifier?
Thanks again!
Andy
So you do have a fancy amp in teh boot and massive speakers ,well remove the bulb in the boot if in doubt and disconnect the amplifier at the source ,ie the battery in the normal power take off for these and then see what happens
Add an aditional power or solonoid/starter switch to power the amp. For the boot you can change the lamp switch or fix an alternate on-off switch for the lamp to light up
