Check engine light is on took to auto zone they gave me a code that said P1166

You can go to Advance Auto, Auto Zone, or other auto parts stores and they will hook up their OBD diagnostic tool to your car and it will read the codes that are causing you your problem. Then they can tell you what the code means, or at least a general idea of where the problem is. For instance, I had a check engine light on, I took it to Advance Auto, they identified the code and told me it was related to the ignition or a spark problem. He told me in his experience to check the spark plugs and spark plug wires first. It was a cracked spark plug boot that gave me an ignition problem whenever it rained or was damp/humid out. You can also google the actual code once you know it, the auto parts stores will give you a printout after they run the OBD scan tool on your car.

EGR valve is not function (Stuck)
Need to remove and clean. If broken replace new one.

erase code again , then disconnect battery for a few minutes, reconnect, see if code comes back. hopefully this resets computer. you don\'t have a reset button on steering wheel do you ? replace your fuel filter, if you haven\'t lately. maybe that will help.

take it to auto zone check again.

code P1299 fuel and air metering. Auto zone gave me a print out that said something about the engine over heating or failing engine temp sensor. Replace the thermostat.

1166 - AF sensor 1 heater circuit malfunction

Your top O2 sensor (the LAF sensor) may be unplugged or the wire may be damaged, or it may be dead.

A P0304 OBD2 code is "cylinder #4 misfire detected". The first place to start is your spark plugs. 1. Check condition and for wear. 2. check the spark plug wires or coil packs(depending on which you have).

1167 is your air/fuel sensor 1. also known as o2 sensor. replace this clear all codes and you should be good
