Sounds like it's just stuck a little. Unlock it with the key and at the same time, pull up on the trunk lid hard. If that doen't work, look for a blown fuse.

I locked my keys in the trunk of my 2016 Hyundai Sonata. Unable to access trunk via rear seats Can't find any manual release mechanism from within the cab. Roadside assistance says order new keys

On the internet it said the Hyundai Dealer can make you a cheap key for only the trunk, which is cheaper than the regular key if you provide VIN information and proof that you own the vehicle.

If you have another key, or already ordered and received a replacement key, you might still have problem opening trunk, and another person said "Easy way is to press the unlock button on the driver's door. Then the trunk release will work."

I have Hyundai Sonata 2016 se somehow my cargo trunk got stuck in open boot position i am trying to close the trunk but it stucked and not coming down any help wl be appreciated Thanks

You will probably find you have pressed the key lock when the boot was open and the latch on the boot has closed have a look were it locates on the lock bar and see if it is open then if not try with the key unlock button.
This should work or you may need to push it open with a screw driver.

Why won't rear trunk open

What should we guess at for you?

A failed button on the dash you push to open the trunk?

A failed trunk electric latch assy?

A blown fuse & the need to find out why & not keep
replacing it?

Does it open with the key, assuming most, if not all vehicles,
have a key cylinder?

You do realize all vehicles have to be tested to even find a problem
& that can only be done once you have access to the info needed to
learn how things work.

Wireless Key Remote door & trunk opener won't work with trunk anymore

When you press the trunk open button, do you hear any "release" noise come from the trunk area? The issue may be a bad battery in the key fob OR there could be an issue with the transmitter located inside the vehicle. Do the doors lock and unlock properly? is the vehicle equipped with security or immobilizer? please advise

2006 Jaguar XJ8. Battery dead. Cannot access trunk with push button, button on dash or key. Is there an alternative method of jump-starting the vehicle?

Owner's manual should show method of using key to open trunk in this situation. On some, you turn key as far as it will go, then manually operate latch and key will turn further and unlock trunk. No manual latch? Should be a way under hood to supply power from jumper cables.

Programming key fob on 2006 sonata

Couple of times when you replace the remote battery, you might have them not working/ responding but just follow the procedure below.

Stand close to the car, hold down the open and close knobs for about 10 seconds. Press them at the same time for 3 seconds; then press the open button as the car opens.

The above procedure is applicable to a lot of car brands. It does not matter how many knobs you might have on the remote fob.

I have carried this procedure out on a lot of brands ranging from Honda, Toyota, Rover, Ford, etc. and it works perfectly well.

Good luck and Rate this.

Cheers
