Okay try this ,put key in ignition turn to on position for ten minutes ,roll window down so you dont lock keys in car before you do this. turn to on for ten minutes dont touch anything or turn anything on make sure all accesories are offthen turn key to off position for 10 seconds then try to start.
its important that you dont have radio or any accessory on during this process.

04 pontiac grand am se wont start security light flashing

More than likely the passlock sensor has failed and will need replaced once it is replaced it will need progamed this can be done by putting key in ignition turning like you it to start and then leaving key in on position for ten minutes then turn key off and repeat two more times. you can try and do the programing before replacing the sensor it will somtimes work but the problem will return until sensor is changed

02 will turn over but won't start

Likely a bad fuel pump. However, if the security light is flashing, leave the key on until the security light stops flashing. Ten minutes with the key on. When the light stops flashing and stays on all the time, turn off the key. Now, start the car. You may be surpised. If your battery went dead and you charged it up, the security prevents you from stealing your own car! Have fun.

2004 pontiac grand am car will not start

the security light will flash and disable the fuel injectors preventing the car from starting, if it thinks that it is being stolen. its easy to fix. set the parking brake to turn off the automatic headlights. next turn the key to the on position and wait ten minutes. the security light should stop flashing. then turn the key off and this will reset the security system. it should start immediatly afterwards.
