Extra parts with my 96 Cavalier slave cylinder.

I recently purchased a clutch kit made by Dynapak NU1906 for my 96 Cavlier 2.2, 5 speed. I comes with a slave cylinder. The new slave comes with a press nut and a roll pin. When I removed my old slave I did not see these parts. The slave body has one mounting hole that slips over a hex post attached to the bell housing. The Chilton manual is vague on the fasteners. Any ideas?

SOURCE: leaking clutch 85 s10 blazer

First, unless you have just done some clutch work you should not need to be bleeding the clutch hydraulic system...that shows that it's leaking. There is nothing inside the bellhousing that has anything to do with clutch fluid, so, the fluid you see is either engine or transmission oil (rear main seal or seal on trans input shaft) Could it be that the clutch slave is leaking and it's running down and dripping at the bottom of the housing? (clean it up and check that)

SOURCE: Deore front derailer cable stay hex nut access

Try unhooking the chain from the ring and pulling the derailleur out far eough to get at the bolt. Make sure your limit screws are adjusted for the travel yuou want and take up the slack. You can use the cable adjuster on the shifter to tighten it or loosen it as necessary. Make sure the adjuster has enough to go in the direction you need. I don't know which model Diore you are talking about so this is the best advice I can give you.

Adjusting a clutch on 93 nissan pu

You can't adjust the clutch, your problem may be the slave cylinder. It is connected to the side of the transmission, first check your clutch master cylinder under hood on right side by firewall,if low, then slave cylinder is leaking and needs to be replaced, easy to remove, part is 17.99.I have a 85 Nissan truck, had her for 25 years, replaced mine a few times, use brake fluid.Get a 9.00 beeder kit at Autozone too. Here's a link on how to do and the bleeder kit...https://www.autozone.com/repairinfo/repairguide/repairGuideContent.jsp?pageId=0900c1528018d42a the bleeder kit.https://www.autozone.com/test-scan-and-specialty-tools/brake-bleeder/oemtools-one-man-brake-bleeder-kit/46839_0_0 Here's the slave cylinder.https://www.autozone.com/drivetrain/clutch-slave-cylinder/duralast-clutch-master-cylinder-12425/69758_1035179_0_238602

How do you remove the hose on a slave cylinder for a 96 ford ranger

There is a special tool to push the white collar down to remove the line from the clutch slave cylinder. Most clutch kits come with this tool but it is easily available from most parts stores. If you have the tool, lubricate the sleeve and push the line into the slave cylinder to release the holding fingers, then push on the sleeve with the tool and pull straight out on the line to remove. Sometimes they can be a pain. another solution is remove the whole line up to the master cylinder with it, you just have to route it accordingly. I have done this with some that wont disconnect.

Cavalier 5 speed shifter or cable wont work

First check the clutch master cylinder to see if it's low on fluid, if it is, use dot 3 brake fluid to fill it, (trust me it's brake fluid, I"ve been working on cars for 51 years.) It's mounted on the firewall right at the clutch.
Check for leaks from the master cylinder to the slave valve ( which you have to get under the car to do so). If the master cylinder was empty, you'll need to bleed the system after filling it. On the valve there is a bleeder screw, loosen it, catch the fluid in a jar till there is no more air bubbles, tighten screw up.
If you still have the same problem, then there is either a slave valve problem,or clutch and/or pressure plate problem. It's cheaper to change the slave valve first, then take it from there providing the valve is external and not internal.

Where can I find a downloadable dealer service manual for a 1997 chevy cavalier? In specific the slave cylinder for the clutch needs to be replaced and I'm wondering if the whole motor has to come out to...

The motor doesn't have to come out, but the transmission does. You might as well put a whole clutch kit in it while you have the trans out. It will save you headache further down the road.

The clutch slave cylinder is leaking. It's not a DIY job. The transmission has to be removed to get to it.

Good or bad thing to do

if there is a kit made for it and u are familiar with how to rebuild a hydraulic cylinder then no problem unless the cylinder bore is pitted or badly scored, in that case it is not rebuild-able. U will need a cylinder hone to do this, available at any parts store for about $10
