The Serpentine belt can cause squealing when AC or Alternator demand is high such as when AC or Heater Blower motor is drawing current from the charging system. Squeal usually goes away after a few minutes of driving.
Serpentine belt. Try rubbing bar soap on the inside of the belt. If the squealing goes away you know which belt it is. Normally replace the tensioner when you replace the belt
The squeal is coming from the alternator belt, When the temp is low, the belt is hard and glazed and lost its ability to create friction.

The noise is most likely the serpentine belt. Check it's condition and that of the belt tensioner. It sounds like the belt is slipping, causing the squealing noise u describe. As the belt warms up, it's getting a better 'grip' and the noise stops. Turning on the heat also turns on the a/c in newer cars, this added drag on the belt (one more component to turn, the a/c compressor) would explain why it happens when u turn on the heat. Is the belt original? If yes, it's time to change it, and check the belt tensioner to make sure it's doing it's job of keeping the belt snug on all the pulleys. Let me know how u make out.

Probably a belt getting loose or worn. If alternator has a separate one than the rest, try just tightening it up. My guess is that it's probably all one belt with a tensioner pulley, which means you can't tighten, (spring tension already applied by tensioner) you have to change the belt, to get rid of noise, and if noise comes back in short time, think about changing tensioner.

It is your Belt Tensioner. You will need to Locate the Belt Tensioner. It has a Large Pulley on a Bracket that Has a Bolt in the Middle and a Smaller Pulley that Goes Under the Belt and Holds Tension on it. You will need to get a Wratchet, Socket, and Cheater Bar. Turn the Bolt On the Top Large Pulley with the Wratchet and Cheater Bar. This will Lower the Smaller Pulley So that you will be Able to Remove the Belt. and Replace the Tensioner Pulley Assembly. After your vehicle heats up, spray your belt with water. If it squeels, it's a belt. If not, it'll be a tensioner or pulley.
