Hi. my c2 1.4 hdi keeps overheating? i have replaced the thermostat. the radiotor has no leaks cause there are no evidence of water leaking on the floor.

If your radiator fluid is lowering with this issue, check your oil dipstick. If it looks milky, you may have an issue with a leaking head gasket. It would be a good idea to have your regular mechanic do a pressure test on your cooling system.

2001 DEVILLE HAS NO LEAKS BUT RUNS HOT. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM,WATER PUMP OR THERMOSTAT.

I would change both first get a fail proof thermostat that way it would never over heat put it in and see if you got heat. if you got heat thermostat is good and water pump check your fans and make sure coolent is full make sure oil looks good you don't want to over heat that car or you will burn hea

Have you checked the fan? A bad fan either electric or manual with clutch will cause a heating problem.

I changed thermostat, pressure checked ok ,no coffe looking in oil, checked purg line is O K radiater gets hot , check for circulation,is O K .no leaks nowhere, and does not heat up when idoling, only heats...

Water pump, radiator doesn't have good flow. radiator is dirty on the outside. These are 3 possibilities The pumps impeller can become loose, it will give you enough water movement at idle, but under a load it starts to spin on the shaft. and the hotter it gets the more it will spin on the shaft.

I have a 1998 cadillac deville, that is over heating

check thermostat, put a coolant pressure tester to check for leaks. check radiator for fluid levels.
check to see if electric fan is working.
start car, when cooled, open radiator cap and check to see if its flowing,if not, then could be a bad water pump.
check carpet under dash for wet spots to indicate if heater core is bad.
any one of those could be at fault.

I have a 2002 Olds Intrigue; standard 3.5, 116K miles; Problems started with a minor water leak; first mechanic replaced the Throttle Body gasket; second did an extensive pressure test on the coolant...

most likely heater core and to check if the water pump working..allow vehicle to warm up enough for thermostat to open and check for circulation in the fluid inside the radiator..if see it..water pump works.

My cadillac is not giving me any hot air ,ive replaced the radiator, changed the thermostat, has a new water pump, where do istart to look.

Feel the 2 tubes at the firewall for the heater core. If they are not getting hot, the heater core needs to be flushed out or replaced. I had this problem with a 1990 Cadilac Deville, it was just a plugged up heater core.

Remember to install sealant after flushing out the system to prevent leaks.

No heat

check for air bubbles in the system also check the pressure cap and have it tested also squeeze the upper radiator hose together and if it doesn't open up in your hand right away the water pump could be weak work on getting the air bubbles out first before going to the water pump
