1992 Ford F250 Diesel does not engage in any gear including reverse. Any suggestions?

There is a part of the linkage in the steering column,that wears and or breaks,a steering colmn specialist can check this for you and replace it if that is the problem
if that is not the problem, it sounds like you need to take to a transmission mechanic.QUESTION: is the overdrive light on gear shift flashing/ if it is flashing, the problem is definetly in the transmission,not the linkage

I've got a 93 7.3 ford 250 an hads a blinking light on the overdrive and shifted very pourley and hard until I just changed the fuse and it shifted like bran new again

1 day later when I go to shift in to gear I don't go anywhere unless I rev my engine and some home it clinks into gear roughly what could this be ? Happens in all gears F an rvse

That is telling you that the TCM has codes stored that need to be accessed. This requires a professional level scan tool to access the transmission module. A generic code reader will not do the trick.

Some of the Ford transmissions actually have an aluminum gear which will go out somewhere around 150 to 200 thousand miles. OR it could be really low on transmission fluid.

My reverse light stays on
It seems the reverse light switch which is fitted on the gear box has sized to 'on' position, the remedy is to replace the switch.
To male sure its the switch, locate it and remove the connection to the switch thn check it out if the reverse light stays 'on' whn you turn the igntion 'on'.
