I have an 05 montana, and after having my winter tires put on they came loose and ever since the the abs light has been on and the abs pump was not working. I unhooked the battery and let it sit for a while. When i hooked it back up the light was out and the abs was working. After 10 minutes of driving it was back on and the abs was not working again.Any ideas would be appreciated

Sounds like the guy that didn't tighten your wheels damaged one or more abs sensors. Call the place that put your tires on and speak with the manager. Have your receipt and work order ready so you can give him dates and time and name of mechanic. Complain loudly. The mechanics shoddy work could have cost you your life. Demand action and make them repair the damage. The abs sensors are probably going to have to be replace and they should foot the bill.

also, extensive lug studs and lugnut damage has occurred also.

also, extensive lug studs and lugnut damage has occurred also. the abs sensors have metallic shavings on magnet side of sensor. they need pulled and the whole reluctor wheel area needs cleaned.

05 Montana can a broke belt in you tire cause your abs light to come on and off?

if the tire is still intact probably not
however the vibration in the wheel could have dislodged the sensor wire and that will put the abs light on/off

05 Montana abs light on and off strong vibration. If remove fuse from abs system will it fix the vibration??

It should not.
The ABS system is only designed to aid your braking of your vehicle.
If the vibration is happening all the time you are driving, it should be a tire problem.
If the vibration is happening when you brake the car, it should be a warped brake rotor problem.
God bless your efforts.

Have 1997 pontiac transport and have trouble shaking and light come on abs and tcs

Sounds like a tier balance problem or the tire is starting to separate.
Look at your tires and inspect them for any protruding bubbles or bumps first.

I have a 99 montana and just got my winter tires put on but now i have a wobble on the front right hand side

1st check to see that all the lugnuts are tight. If that is not the problem you will have to go back to the tire shop and have the wheel balanced.

ABS, Tire Pressure and Airbag Light Fault on '05 MINI Cooper

The computer you are looking for is called an ASC control unit and is located in the right hand side of the engine bay.
I advise you have the fault codes checked first as a new ASC control unit is not cheep and will require coding.

Can I put 215/70/R15 winter tires from 2002 Montana on my 2003 Silhouette?

yes you can, basically you can just about put any size tire on as long as it fit however 215 is the height of the tires, by putting smaller or taller tires than recommended by the manufacture will effect you speed odometer. 70 is the width of the tires, the wider the better traction and 15 is the size of the tires that will fit the rims. Here is example...

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference 215/75-15 6.3in 13.8in 27.7in 87.0in 728 0.0% 225/75-15 6.6in 14.1in 28.3in 88.9in 713 2.1%

Traction Control problem

I would pull the fuse. I do not like traction control or abs personally and I pull the fuse on both. They tend to have problems in their circuits and the pumps and I do not trust them
