WHEN ENGIN
IS COLD I CAN NOT GET IT IN THE GEAR. WHEN I SWITCH IN TO THE "DRIVE",
IT STILL RUNS AS IN "P" OR
IN "N". AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF ENGINE RUNING IT CACHES UP AND STARTS
SWICHING GEARS NORMALY.
I WOULD BE GRATFULL FOR THE ADVICE AS THE SERVICES IN THE CROATIA SEAMS TO
WONDER ABOUT IT

Did you recently replace the axles on the vehicle? This problem commonly occurs in Subarus when you replace the axles with non-OEM parts. The only fix seems to be to swap out the axles for OEM parts. Search the forums at subaruoutback.org for many stories of the same condition and some theories on why non-OEM axles cause the problem.

SOURCE: Fuel Filter for a 2005 Subaru Outback
In 2005 Subaru moved the fuel filters to the fuel tank for both 4-cyl and 6-cyl cars. What is confusing is the statement in the owner's manual about replacement intervals; the statement actually only applies to 4-cyl cars. Even though the filter is mounted in the tank, this is still a replaceable element on 4-cyl, but not on 6-cyl. The 6-cyl filter element is part of the entire fuel pump assembly (a $300 assembly) and is not sold separately. Therefore the 6-cyl filter is intended to be a "lifetime" part, which really means it gets replaced when the fuel pump fails and the entire pump assembly is replaced.

when the car is warm it wont go into gear for a few minutes
When the weather is cold, below 45 F , the transmission seems to catch and lunge, as if it falls into N and then back to the same gear. When initially backing out of the driveway going from R to D is sticky. (I have been told that is how the Tiptronic Transmission works) Then after driving for a few seconds, the transmission just moves out of gear and then back. Some times after stopping then proceeding.. there is a delay before your able to proceed.
Currently it is with a dealer for repair ($956 parts and labor). I hope to follow up when I get it back. We own 3 Subaru's within our family and have not had such problems in the past.
