You tried it in neutral but did you take it out of park and force it back into park? Just a suggestion since sometimes the switch that tells it that it is in park needs a bit of a nudge sometimes.
other then ignition switch, there are few more possibilities, that can cause such problem. For complete troubleshooting, click the link below:---Car Starting Problemshttp://whoisbyme.blogspot.in/2012/06/car-starting-problems.html --------These will help.Thanks.
To clarify, if it cranks but won't start, the starter is doing its job. If it cranks but won't start, you'll need to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem to proceed. You can have someone check the fuel line for pressure and spark at the plugs.
Try changing the electronics on your ignition switch. All of the power to the rest of your car goes through your ignition switch and if the switch is bad the car won't start because power is not getting to where it needs to be. I am almost positive that if you replace the ignition switch electronic your car will run fine. I hope this helps
Your ignition switch is bad, soon you will go out to start it and it won't start. These cars are known for bad ignition switches and ignition lock cylinders.
even with a fuel pump somewhat working I've seen vehicles start but run really sloppy. try getting your battery checked for correct voltage, could have a dead cell, very hard to notice cause all seems normal. could be fuel filter that's an easy enough fix. Fuel pumps **** cause if their inside the tank, then you have to replace the whole tank other then that there's nothing you can do. I had a problem in the front tank of my truck, idled fine but then when driving got really ugly, lucky for me I had gas in my back tank and got home. Few months later i was broke and of course when the front pump went, it went on a full tank so driving home on fumes I switched to front tank and whatever the blockage was seemed to be gone and she's been working ever since. sorry bout the essay, but it's not time to throw out hope yet. Oh! don't know location or weather conditions but it's a nightmare here in Calgary (-36C), maybe just plug it in for a couple hours. I'm hoping for ya
