Try to unplug door look buttons on door panel.. i had a bad door lock switch, the car thinks someone is trying to unlock it! sets off alarm,, hope this helps
usualy there is a switch on the driver and passener side, try disarming by unlocking drivers door with the key to disarm the factory alarm, or the passenger door. this should turn off the alarm if it is not aftermarket. the factory alarm will arm any time the door is locked by key or power door lock. good luck
Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery cables sets up the security alarm system which is part of the flashing lights. To stop the flashing, insert your key into the drivers side door lock and and turn to the unlock position. This will also stop any unwanted security alarms.
Sometimes the alarm gets tripped when the battery has been disconnected as the system thinks someone is trying to steal the vehicle when it loses power. Usually if you reconnect the battery [and the alarm sounds] then lock and unlock the drivers door with the key or the remote on the key fob it will reset the alarm and everything will work again. I've had to try a couple of times to get these systems to reset so you may have to do the same. There may also be a procedure listed in your owners manual for this situation so I'd take a look there too. Good luck, hope this helps out!
It's going to have to be looked at. But you can try unlocking a different door with the key. Hold it to the left (unlock position) for 2 or three seconds. Should shut off the alarm and allow you to start it.
if alarm is activated, it could be shutting off the starter, hence no starting....you may have to have a locksmith or electronics place disable the alarm so you can at least drive the thing
this happened to me recently with my 96 grand cherokee. the battery got drained by the alarm going off randomly at night. i pulled the fuse for the horn so at least my neighbors would only be bothered by flashing lights. then i couldn't jump the car because the alarm was still going off. i hooked my car to jump it to another car, and then i had to deactivate the alarm first by putting my key in the driver side door and unlocking the car. then i left it hooked to another car and still getting power but didn't jump it for at least 5 minutes in case the computer needed to reset. then it jumped fine. from what i've read online, this is a common problem that can be avoided if you stop using the power locks and always manually lock and unlock the doors with your key. its a little annoying, but apparently the power locks are connected to the alarm issue. hope the same works for you.
you may need to call a dealership and ask them about it they are most familiar with their systems and can tell you how to shut it off and possibly tell you how to keep it disarmd
