The dealer will usually do this for free. You can always try the oldest trick: Remove the batteries from the remote for about 10 minutes. In a few cases like the systems made by Rampart security, you have to disconnect the car's battery for 10 minutes at the same time. Doesn't always work, but worth the effort.

That depends on if the front motor mount is blocking half of the timing belt . Then you have to have the motor lifted out to change the timing belt . Now that just added at least another 2 hours to the labour hours. In all honesty, now you are looking at a 4 to 6 hours of total work . Now , do you know if it is a timing belt or a timing chain. Timing belt, yes will take about 4 to 6 hours , but a timing chain will take over 8 hours because it is inside the motor.

Do you want to replace the Go to belt yourself? Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register (vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you'll have access to technical information (manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc) about your vehicle.

SOURCE: where is the starter located on a 2003 hyundai
raise the front end.
Starter is mounted to the lower-left side of the engine.
You didn't specify an engine, so assuming the 2.7 V6.
Starter is a cylindrical canister about the size of a large can of beans...Follow the heavy red cable from the battery down to the front of the starter.
*You may need to remove the transaxle cables for access*
Take the old starter with you to buy the replacement, and you'll get your core credit on-the-spot.
As a side note: the '02 models were recalled in Jan '03 for faulty starter assemblies...but I don't see a note on the '03.
