1994 Dodge Grand Caravan. Does anyone know what could cause the serpentine belt on a Dodge Grand Caravan to come off every time it rains?

Tensioner badly adjusted or pulleys are misaligned.

Take it back to the shop and ask them to fix the tension under the repair warranty.

There should be enough tension that the belt can't jump the pulleys. There is a small chance is is misrouted.

How to replace a water pump on a 2005 dodge grand caravan water pump is leaking, added fluid but is still leaking and now more frequently want to replace it as a do it ourselves

this isnt a solution, just a suggestion.my husband,a fairly skilled home mechanic, recently did this.it took 12 hours over a 2 day period.you have to remove everything from the front of the motor, including the motor mounts,to access the pump.make sure you change the timing belt at the same time if it shows ANY signs of wear so you aren't doing the procedure again anytime soon..good luck!!

How difficult is it to replace water pump on a 1997 dodge grand caravan 3.3L?

Very easy. You can do this. Just take off the serp belt by pulling down on the tensioner with a 15mm wrench. Then remove the three or four bolts for the water pump pulley. You will need to be under the vehicle for this. Then remove the five or six bolts for water pump. Pull the pump out and install new one in the reverse order. Just slip the belt off the water pump so you don't have to figure reroute the whole thing unless you are replacing it. Also clean the mating service for the pump before installing the new pump with the new gasket. Should take about an hour

My water pump on my caravan is going out

I checked a couple of sites and they all listed between 3-3.8 hours labor. Depending on the market you are in labor is generally + or - $65 an hour. The water pump should run around $70 (guesstimate). In all honesty I would have the belts checked and replaced if needed at the same time. Most places will charge you very little if any additional labor because they have to take them off anyway. The belts should not be all that expensive and if possible buy them yourself ahead of time. I hope this helps
