Two or three. one for the idiot light, measures coolant temp. one for the pcm and the gauge. measures coolant temp also, one for intake air temp, locater on intake snorkle. this obviously measures temp of intake air. the latter two help pcm control fuel mixtue, timing and the like.

You have an incredible amount of codes, so I would look for a abrasion in the wiring harness.

Where is the temperature sending unit located on a 2000 chevy s10 2.2 four cylinder engine

The temperature sending unit is screwed into cylinder head. Careful you also have a coolant temperature sensor that threads into intake manifold. Temp sending unit is how your guage knows how hot your engine is. Coolant temp sensor is how your computer knows how hot or cold your engine is, so it can compensate fuel & air mixture. You can not put the wrong one in the wrong place, they will not fit. You change 1 for 1 reason & the other for another reason.

spider injection is a common problem with these vehicles, is it consuming gas more than usual, is the oil smelling like gas? The spider is located under the upper intake plenem. There is also a fuel pressure regulator connected to the spider assembly that may be faulty.
