Radio code for VW golf velocity

if the previous owner wrote the code in the service book.great.... if not the radio will have to be decoded at an ice specialists.or buy a new radio...vw supply cars with codes set to 0000,but new car owners love to play......

you cannot.you will have to have the radio recoded/replaced the first owner may have written it down in the service book if you are very lucky
try a company like"radio active"

1995 VW GOLF RADIO CODE

I just replied to someone having the same problem with a Honda and saw one of the sponsors pop up in the Ads by Google box to the right that may help. I think with Hondas you have to go to the dealership where the car/radio was originally purchased and give them some numbers from the radio. The sponsor may charge to get the number for you but it may be worth a few bucks if that is the only solution. I didn't catch the web address or name - sorry.

Mk4 Golf radio wont come on after repair work.

check your manual if you dont have it call vw make sure you have the vin number there or they might make you bring it there for a charge

For anybody needing a VW code
1. Pull out the radio
2. Locate the serial number starting with VWZ
3. Search VW radio code at ebay, google or use this site https://freeradiocodes.co.uk/vw-radio-code

There are not free ways to get the code.

dealers are not everytime free, my local one tried to charge me 60 bucks for it and I reply on 13 yr old because I've arrived here when I tried to find my code, so probably more people is going to arrive in the same place

Sometimes it can be found on the radio casing but the best bet is to take your car to your local dealership and they can use the VIN nimber of the vehicle to track down the radio code
