Hi!

Here are some ideas:
1. Spark plug - try cleaning the plugs to limit the problem.
2. Distributor Assembly - the one connected to the spark plugs, clean the contacts and make sure it is well tuned. Check the capacitor as well.
3. Timing - engine tuneup.
4. Idling - adjust idling to proper RPM, usually 1100
5. Jets - jets maybe clogged.

Hope this helps,
levibit

I believe this truck has a set of plastic set of injector lines under the intake. When they get some miles the EGR tube thats under the intake blows hot air across them and eventually they break down and get holes in them...Check with an auto shop...not sure what year that problem is with...but I think its the 96/97 models...IF so replace the lines/injectors too...they are about the same money for the lines vs the line/injector kits.

Truck would not excellerate pas ten miles now it wont start. when i play with the fuel restart button it starts rough and dies

See there were several postings. Was internal fuel tank screen good when pump was changed? Was disposable fuel filter changed? I had similar problems and it turned out that the internal filter screen broke apart and clogged the fuel lines.

The crankshaft sensor was also bad as fuel pump was tested during internal tank filter work.

Also check your injector wires. Even having fuel pressure is nothing if the injectors are not opening to let fuel into the cylinders.

1994 Ford Ranger Starts runs for 3-4 minutes then dies, changed ignition mod, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump relay, checked vac hoses, totally lost!!!!!

As with any no-start or stall problem you will need to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition issue.
The high idle usually means you have a vac leak or a problem with the throttle body or idle air control valve. The control valve is how the computer controls the idle speed.
You'll need to watch the fuel system and spark to see which is being affected when the engine dies.
You might want to hook a test light up to the coil to see if it is loosing voltage for example.

Can you tell me where the fuel pump is located on a 95 5.7V8 Silverado? We have changed the fuel filter and checked the battery, but it is still dying. We're thinking fuel pump, but could it be anything...

The pump is located in the tank. Can you here the pump come on when you cycle the key on?If you try an alternative fuel such as throttle body cleaner and it starts and runs at least till it burns up the cleanen.Suspect a faulty fuel pump or connection to the fuel pump.

94 VW Golf. Starts and runs sitting, drive it about 10 mins and it just dies and won't restart. Have changed Coil, wires, plugs, cranck shaft sensor. Fuel Pump/Filter?

a)When you go to restart it does it die right after restart?
b)Does it die after you put it in gear after restart?
c)Doesn't restart at all?
Not sure if you changed fuel pump? If you did eliminate it from cast of characters.

If a & c engine main relay or fuel pump
If b torque converter clutch solenoid
