My guess is that the crank position sensor is out of position, or possibly the timing belt has become worn. Backfires and the hot converter are the clues - fuel is in the intake at the wrong time, and the exhaust is rich in un-burnt fuel.

SOURCE: 2ooo chevy s10 2.2 automatic starting issues

Try cycling the ignition on and off three times, Turn the ignition to the run till the check engine light turns off on the dash and then turn it off and do it again three times to pressurize the fuel line. Then start it, your fuel filter may be dirt or the fuel check valve at the fuel pump may be bad making you loose your fuel prime. Start with replacing the fuel filter first and let me know if that helps and let me know if cycling the ignition to pressurize the fuel line helped.

SOURCE: 2002 Chevy s10 electrical problems

Not to well versed on the S-10 electrical system but I would take a look at the voltage regulator.
It sounds like there is a malfunction that charges your battery sometimes but shorts out the alternator other times. Try having it tested or replace it
WD-40 will not do the trick for cleaning your terminals. WD-40 was developed during the 2nd WW to combat moisture in radio equipment in the South Pacific. WD stands for water displacement and the 40 is for formula #40. To clean the terminals you must disconnect them and use an abrasive such as emery cloth to remove the corrosion. They should be brite and shiny when you put them back together. I always cote mine wit dei-electric grease before re-assembly

1985 Isuzu Pup spark plug carbon buildup

I'm assuming this is a carburettor engine. Is this carbon build up happening to just one plug or all of them? Try a simple service. Replace a?>ll of the spark plugs and the air filter.
Just one plug fouling is possibly an issue with the plug itself. Spark plugs need to be the correct one for that engine setup and must be gapped correctly. The wrong plug or the wrong gap setting will cause a poor fuel burn causing the carbon build up.
If all the plugs are fouling it could be either a dirty air filter or an issue with the carburettor itself. If these are the original carburettor you could get a good mechanic to service your carb. Fuel can leave a 'varnish' on surfaces which can clog fuel lines and jets.

Why does my car backrire several times before starting in the morning

There could be the starts of a timing issue. or The exhaust valves aren't closing all the way, and over night, all the carbon seizes the valves just a little. When it's finally up and running, the heat loosens the carbon deposits and functions normally.

2005 honda civic lx I had scan done because check engine light was on. I was told 2 sensors needed to be replaced but the mechanic did not tell me which 2. He told me the sensor that tells the other...

Question - is the car running fine? - any issues? If all is fine and the engine is running like it always has leave it alone since you may have sensors sending out incorrect info. Wait till something valid goes wrong . Mechanic you spoke to is full of it. Unburnt gas in combustion chamber comes out as black carbon, a by product of incomplete combustion. Is your exhaust black? Bet you it's not!

Po300 code/ when is cool in the morning, the suv when a due gas .

Sounds like your fuel pressure is leaking gas which is located in your intake platinum with your fuel injector unit (SCFI). When the fuel leaks out over night, it floods the intake with gas causing it to give your the issues you have described.
The other issue that may be happening is that your SCFI system is on it's way out due to excessive carbon build on the fuel poppet nozzle which is causing you to have the issues your having.
With the problem you have described, i would lean towards the faulty fuel pressure regulator leaking since the Blazer is running fine after the extra fuel that leaked in to the intake have burnt off.
Replace the fuel pressure regulator first and clean the upper intake platinum of carbon before reassembly.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck

Good morning! i have a 01 cherokee with a 4.0

Leave the carbon build up alone!!!! The moment you loosen this carbon, small tiny fragments will fall into the piston ring cavities and fall between the cylinder walls and pistons. After head removeal and before re-installing, use a shop vac to clean each cyclinder, being careful that you do not lossen carbon from the pistons.

could be a carbon brush issue of the fan. try to wiggle the wire that goes to the fan. if the fan runs, then it is a carbon brush problem. you need to replace the carbon brush of the motor.
