My hazard warning switch light has remained on with everything switched off. The hazards work ok when the switch is depressed. The car is an Audi A6 2.7 TDI Quatro 2006.

Either 1 of 2 things. Relay inside hazard switch goes bad often. If that is not it, then usually you would end up replacing the actual turnsignal column switch. But a new Hazard switch should do it.

Problem: A co-worker has a 1999 Audi A6 Quattro. Her directionals stopped working and she's had to resort to manually moving the switch arm (the hazards work fine, though). Someone on the internet...

i think her problem is the hazard light switch this is how they go when they go wrong the indicators stop working ,their is no magic relay or seting dash lights --- not on such an old car ,the hazards work but no indicators ,they all use the same flasher unit but its all wired through teh hazard light switch ,anyway shes a female and they never use indicators anyway ,only hazards for triple parking outside the hairdresser

My turn light don't work but the hazadours lights does it

if the emergency lights are working the we can eliminate the relay because it's a combination relay for both turn signal and hazardous lights. you need to check the fuses, it's more likely the problem. it won't hurt to make sure if the bulbs are ok

My blinkers won't work, the light just stays on (not blinking) do I need to replace the flasher? Where is it? The hazards work. It's a 2003 Audi A6

The relay is built into the hazard switch. It could be that or the turn signal switch. Try the hazard switch first (it's relatively cheap). If that doesn't do it, you'll have to replace the turn signal switch, which involves removal of the steering wheel and airbag.

I need to change the flasher relay on my 2000 A6 Quatro. I have removed the cover above the radio, to expose the hazard switch, but I cannot get the hazard switch out. How can I get the hazard switch out ?

The hazard switch is hard to get out. It has one clip on each side. By using a flat screwdriver on one side, and conciderable force, the whole thing came sliding out.

2004 audi A6 flasher lights

You need a new hazard light switch - the relay for the hazards and turn signals is built in. It's $40 or so at a dealership to buy a new one.

Signal lights stay on

Its common for the sockets to burn up.  If you installed and the lights are still coming on.  The issue is the hazard light switch is bad.  If it were me I would replace the burnt socket anyway since it has been damaged and replace the hazard lite switch too.

Indicators do not work Although al lamps light when locking Car

Hazard warning light switch fault.
The hazard light warning button in the middle of your dash is actually a relay that often fails, causing this problem. New switch required.
