Spark plug gap size 01 dodge caravan 6 cylinder 3.3l

A Chiltons/Haynes repair manual that covers this vehicle make/model/year will have the information you seek. Plus a lot of other goodies. I'll give you the gap for the 3.3 V6 used in the 1984 thru 1995 (we use it for our 1998 Grand Caravan). okay per tune-up specs, that spark plug gap is, drum roll please, 0.050 inch/1.3mm. These specs are for the OEM spark plugs Champion RN14MC5. Best of luck accessing the 3 on the back side.

I changed the spark plug , the wire set the rotor, the rotor cup, and the fuel filter ,my nissan pathfinder 1989. when i start the engine , it run erratically for a while and suddenly it stole, it has a...

you need to get a diaghram on the firing order of your spark plug

wires, almost any autoparts store will give you the firing order for

your vehicle. if the firing order is incorrect the engine can sound

like its falling apart. the spark plugs also need to be gapped

correctly, they are not always pre-gapped or check the gap of

one of your old spark plugs and match the gap with the new ones.

good luck!

Hi!1
The spark plug gap is 044 (In thousandths of an inch) Caution! Gap is not adjustable on certain plug brands. The 4 cyl. 2.3 L engine uses 2 spark plugs per cylinder.
A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

Spark plug gap on 1995 volvo 960 replaceing sparkplugs

Spark Plug removal procedure & gap info...
  • Remove spark plug access cover. (Black cover on top of engine.)
  • Once you have the black plastic cover off, number the coil packs with a magic marker 1 - 6 front to back so you can correctly replace them.
  • Coil packs are held in with a pair of 10mm bolts (A and B in the illustration. Later 960s have only one bolt at A).
  • Once you have the bolts out the pack should just pull out. A little twisting may help as there is an "O" ring seal at the top of the valve cover and a big boot at the spark plug.
  • Remove coils from spark plugs. Do NOT disconnect coil wires. (VERY IMPORTANT)
  • Inspect the condition of the wiring going to the coil pack. Look for crumbled insulation or charring. See 960 FAQ file for information on failing engine wiring harnesses.
  • If you have comprssed air blow out the plug cavity before you take the plug out. As an alternative use a vacuum cleaner and brush to clean any "stuff" out of the hole to avoid having it fall into the cylinder.
  • Remove spark plugs. Use a good quality, rubber insulated spark plug socket. Once they are unscrewed, you have to haul them up out of the hole.
  • Check and adjust spark plug gap to: 0.030" (.75 mm)
  • Install clean, "un-oiled", spark plugs and torque to: 18 ft. lbs .
  • Refit ignition coils.
  • Reinstall spark plug access cover.
  • narrow-gap risk: spark might be too weak/small to ignite fuel;
  • narrow-gap benefit: plug always fires on each cycle;
  • wide-gap risk: plug might not fire, or miss at high speeds;
  • wide-gap benefit: spark is strong for a clean burn.

Spark plug gap

Notice: This engine has aluminum cylinder heads. Do not remove the spark plugs from a hot engine, allow it to cool first. Removing the spark plugs from a hot engine may cause spark plug thread damage or cylinder head damage.
Gap the spark plug, using round wire type spark plug gap gage.

Gap Adjust the spark plug gap to 1.14 mm (0.045 in).

DO NOT coat the spark plugs with anti seize compound. Over torquing could occur and damage to the cylinder head threads may result.

If your going to use Platnum plugs, DO NOT GAP them. Just check the gap and if there not the right gap, ask for new one's with the right gap.

The metal on the PLatnum plugs, are harder and my break apart in the cylinder .

Good luck and hope this helps
