Hey guys, 2000 4.2 e250 giving me code P0113.After searching for two days I cannot locate the IAT aka ACT sensor. It is not in the air filter housing or duct.I purchased the sensor but cannot locate anywhere on the upper or lower manifold.Any help as to its location would be highly appreciated.Every reference I searched says it should be in the intake duct/air filter housing.

Intake Air Temp sensor is part of the MAF sensor. If you remove the MAF sensor there will be a little sensor just to the side of the long black plastic piece that extends into the air chamber. That is the temp sensor.

2005 Chevy Cavalier. Where is the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor located please?

Edited to tidy up the English, and the code is P-Zero, not P-Oh.

If your PCM is returning a P0113 error code, it means that your Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is reading at too high of a voltage. This sensor works as a basic resistor. The PCM sends it a continuous current of five volts, and monitors how much voltage it gets back.

What is P0113 mean for a 01 merc cougar?

Intake air temperature sensor circuit. It is located between the air filter and engine. Small 2 wire plug. These rarely go bad. Usually it is a wire broke. And they usually break right at the plug.

Undefinedas replacement on civic 98 sensor p0113

Possible causes for this code are: - Faulty Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor
- Dirty air filter
- Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor harness is open or shorted
- Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor circuit poor electrical connection. this code sets when: - An excessively high voltage from the sensor is sent to ECM. Usual Possible symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) P0113 1998 Honda Civic Description The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is built into mass air flow sensor or in some vehicles mounted to the air filter duct housing. The sensor detects intake air temperature and transmits a signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM).The temperature sensing unit uses a thermistor which is sensitive to the change in temperature. Electrical resistance of the thermistor decreases in response to the temperature rise. The Intake Air Temperature signal is used as an input for various systems in the vehicle.

Took my focus 2003 to autozone it is going thru alot of gas and we changed the spark plugs they ran a test and the codes are po113 & po303 i do not know what this means can you help me

P0113 indicates the IAT Intake Temperature Sensor has a problem.
P0303 indicates a misfire on cylinder 3

I believe the IAT is built into the MAF sensor located in the air snorkle and helps regulate the air/fuel mixture. Also concentrate on cylinder 3 looking for problems such as injector, wiring, etc.

Hope this helps!

My 2000 ford focus has codes p0102 and p0113 whats that and what could it be?

P0102 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low Input
The MAF sensor circuit is monitored by the PCM for low air flow (or voltage) input through the comprehensive component monitor (CCM). If during key ON engine running the air flow (or voltage) changes below a minimum calibrated limit, the test fails. MAF sensor disconnected
MAF circuit open to PCM
VPWR open to MAF sensor
PWR GND open to MAF sensor
MAF RTN circuit open to PCM
MAF circuit shorted to GND
Intake air leak (near MAF sensor)
A closed throttle indication [throttle position (TP) sensor system]
Damaged MAF sensor
Damaged PCM
A MAF V PID (MAF PID) reading less than 0.23 volts (Refer to equivalent grams/second chart in GO to Pinpoint Test DC ) in continuous memory or key ON and engine running indicates a hard fault.
P0113 - Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Circuit High Input Indicates the sensor signal is greater than Self-Test maximum. The IAT sensor maximum is 4.6 volts or -50°C (-58°F). Open circuit in harness
Sensor signal short to power
Damaged sensor
Improper harness connection
Damaged PCM
IAT V PID reading greater than 4.6 volts with key ON and engine OFF or during any engine operating mode indicates a hard fault.
