I only bought this car off trade me a few weeks ago and it came with no manual. Once I have gotten out of the vehicle, removed the keys, turned off the light's, checked the boot is shut properly, interior light is off - the car continuously beeps at me that something has been forgotten. Or is it just simply telling me that a door is open? Once I have shut the door and locked it the beeping stops. It has only just been doing this over the last few days whereas it wasn't happening when I first bought it so I am unsure if it is a warning of sort or not?

I do not know for sure about the prelude but once you take the lug nuts off of most vehicles, the only thing holding the rotors on is the brake pads. Usually, you can remove a couple of bolts from the back of the calipers, maybe just one and the calipers swing on a hings away from the rotors. One swift kick to the rotor will usually free it up. Who needs a rubber mallet.
There are a few temperature sending sensors on the head and depending on the outside temp or driving temp it might not turn on when the car is off. If you have replaced your coolant recently it might be keeping the engine cool to the point of not needing to come on with car the off.
sounds like the fuel filter.. if you have those kind of skills, they're usually cheap to buy and worth a shot to change. depending on the location the labor will take you 1 - 5 hrs...
pull the ashtray out and check on the bracket of it you might have to unscrew and look on top side. If not there pull glove box all the way down, will require depressing tabs on side and check on it. It has been a few years since fooling with one but rember being there.
