I have a suzuki esteem 2001. It changes to 4th gear at around the speed of 70 KPH. It is very late and the car makes to much noice since it is running at a low gear. Due to this reason the gas consumption is also very bad. Please help.

Trans is hunting for gear due to low oil pressure either pump is worn out or seals are leaking inside try trans x which you can buy at kragen or other auto store

I have a suzuki esteem 2000 . it will not go in revers. all other gears go forward. will not go past 35 ...can any one help pls thank you

what gear cant go past 35?

there are automatic tranny , and manual tranny

which is it.

and what gear is this 35 xxx failure,

is that 35mph or 3500 RPM"?

we can not guess, what is under your right hand (LHD car)?

auto or stick

say all things good about the trans,

like how each of the gears work, not just Reverse.

the good, the bad and the ugly,

then we can get a full picture.

will not go past 35 what wont, surely not Reverse the be world record.

Where is the transmission fill plug on a 2001 suzuki esteem

manual or auto? auto fills through the dipstick, manual plug will be around halfway up from the bottom of the gearbox. keep in mind that automatic transmission fluid expands once it gets hot

98 Suzuki esteem no acceleration when putting in drive.

This could be an indication that you are either low on automatic transmission fluid or your transmission is slipping. Check your fluid level before driving it again. Continually driving with low (or bad burned fluid) will damage your transmission.

The Transmission Speed Sensor, output, for an automatic 1998 Suzuki Esteem, Station Wagon, is broken. Where can i find de sensor to replace it?

Go to oemsuzukiparts.com--they have all the parts you need, including the speed sensor, for a good price--I have used them quite a bit recently for my 2006 Forenza wagon.

I don,t know how to check the gear oil in my 97 suzuki esteem manual transmission or how to add gear oil

The fill plug is on the left hand side of the diff casing just rearwards of where the left hand drive shaft exits the gearbox. You will need a 10mm square drive (a 3/8" ratchet is close, but you have to make sure it stays in the square) to undo it. The box should be filled to this level.

99 suzuki esteem running on 2 cyclinders (diagnosed by automobile service station). I was hoping to drive 75km to get back home before I can get it fixed. Is this a really bad idea? It smells like its...

Dont drive it any further. You have possibly already don further damage. You are going to wash down the cylinder walls with fuel and cause bearing damage. Also dumping raw fuel into the exhaust will damage the catalytic converter.

Transmission

maybe check the owners manual an see if a filter is listed as a part number. call the local dealer. google the phase. best chance for a result might be to go to napa or autozone web page and search the part :) my daughter has a 96 esteem so i'll check her owners book and try to post here again , sorry, good luck. : )
