Known problem for SRS light might be cause by bad seat belt buckle. Honda seat belt buckle and belts are lifetime warranty(not cover if broken because of abuse). Have your honda dealer scan it for code. They might charge you $55 to scan for the code(ex:09-3 driver seat buckle failure), but if it is a for buckle or belt code then everything is free including the scan(labor and part).
good luck

How do I fix the SRS light... The car has been sitting for a few year and only started up each month , now the SRS light is not working

The supplemental restraint system (SRS) warning light is most commonly known as the airbag system light. This is a computer controlled system .
When the vehicle is first started, the SRS light should come on for 1 to 5 seconds while the system goes through a self-test sequence. If the light goes out, then the system is ready. If the light stays on, there is a fault somewhere in the SRS system.
if the light won't come on at all, the coputer system needs to be checked out.

Toyota Echo 2003 SRS light with ABS light blinking instead of Seat Belt Light

When you sit in the seat and put the seat belt on does everything work ok . If so look to the fact that you are required to wear a seat belt and the fact that you are not might be the problem.

Sercurity light flashing

Cluster warning lights

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS, TPMS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Anti-lock brake system. TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module. TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor System

What does SRS lit up on the dashboard mean. 1995 accord wagon.

the SRS stands for Supplemental Restraint System. Most people call it the air bags but the SRS system includes all of the sensors and control units for air bags, seat belt pre-tensioners and passenger detection systems on cars that are equiped with themeach time you start the car up the SRS control unit will do a self-test of the system to make sure all of the sensors are working properly. The SRS light will stay on while that test is conducted. If all is well and everything passes the on-board test the light will go out in about 7 seconds. If something is wrong the light will stay on.whenever a failure is detected for any reason, the SRS light is turned on and the system is shut off. The air bags will not be deployed when the SRS light is on.They call it a Supplemental Restraint System because your seat belts are your primary restraint system.

What does the red light on the bord with letters SRS means? It stays on for few seconds after I start the car (Honda accord 1995). Thank you

srs means secondary restraint system. e.g air bags and things like that. when it stays on for a few seconds its because it is doing a systems check. if the light stays on all the time then there is a problem. hope i helped.

2002 clk - srs light on all the time

think this is a dealer job ,the radio is connected via a big computerised circuit board behind the centre column of the dash .try giving the wires under the front seats a wiggle and make sure their are no coke cans or anything else under seats to damage the connections for the explosive seat belt restraint puller devices

Srs

SRS stands for Supplemental Restraint System. It has to do with everything that is related to the airbags: Sensors, Control units, Seat Belt pre-tensioners and passenger detection systems (if your car has one). When the car is started, the system will go through a series of self-tests to make sure that the entire system is working properly. The SRS light will either flash during this test or remain on steadily during it. If there is one thing that failed at this test, the light will remain on and I understand that your airbags will not work while this light remains on. You need to have it checked at a dealer, but be prepared: it will cost some money to check it and that's before they discover if anything is wrong that caused the light to stay on in the first place.
