First check all electrical connections are tight, battery , earth etc,
then start looking at all your ignition system wiring and sensors.

What would cause my 1994 honda accord to only catch reverse but no other gears i changed the shift solenoid but didnt help the car only catches gears if i slowly press the gas if i press normally it wont...

possible that clutch has failed, to test do following
switch off engine and put gear into 4th, with brakes on try to start
engine while in gear. if the engine starts switch it off straight away

this confirms your clutch has failed, if engine stalls your clutch is good.but could mean that the clutch activator is not working. either way
recomment you see a qualified dealer or machanic about this issue.

I hope this was helpful

Check your main relay. It powers the fuel pump and the ignition system. They are a known problem, with a high failure rate, on the 90-93 accords. I do believe it's worth checking.

I will be driving down the road and the check engine light comes on and the engine stops running i let it sit for 10-15 minutes and it starts again

What model and year honda do you have? If it's an accord, 90-93, take a look at your distributor by checking for spark, when the engine dies. If no spark, it's usually a bad distributor on those year accords.

My 90 honda accord all of a sudden starts sometimes what is causing this example. i drove to the store and bought groceries less than 20 min got into the car and it would not start it sounded like it...

without doing further testing it is difficult to say, but there is a part called the main relay, located under the dash on the drivers side. it controls the power to the fuel pump, and is a common failure on older hondas. good luck!

Just replaced thermostat and flushed system but got no heat!

disconnect the heater supply pipes and put the hose through the heater pipes and the reverse the flow direction this should help .If it doesnt the put some caustic soda in the rad and run engine for till it gets hot then for a further 5 mins ,then flush it out again ,try it if it works then refill with antifreeze .use about 200grms of caustic soda

90 honda accord

One common problem area is the ignition distributor. Another area to check is the electric fuel pump and filter. Is your warning light on for engine/PGM? If so, check for fault codes.
