Your engine sets on motor mounts and then the motor mounts set on the frame. There are also some motor mounts in the front of the car that attach to the frame with a rubber housing and big bolts running through them. Usually in the middle of the engine.

It is fairly easy to do if you have a lift, but it is possible to do on the ground with a jack and jack stands. You will need to be able to unbolt both sides of the mount and support the engine with the jack while you replace the mounts. If you download the autozone app to a smart pone or tablet it will give you a repair estimate calculator,
Changing the center motor mount is almost impossible to do with lifting the motor up from the can. I had a 2002 neon and I replaced the other mounts and left the center mount alone. The other new mounts seem to compensate for the bad one. I have been told that the motors are designed to shake a little.

FIRST YOU'LL NEED TO SUPPRT THE MOTOR WITH A JACK! UNBOLT THE MOUNT FROM MOTOR, JACK THE MOTOR UP TO CLEAR MOTOR MOUNT, AND UNBOLT IT FROM THE FRAME! REPLACE IT, BOLT THE MOUNT TO THE FRAME FIRST, THEN LOWER THE MOTOR BACK INTO THE MOUNT, AND REBOLT THE MOTOR!
It's your motor & transmission mounts - relatively inexpensive. Here is where you can get all 4 mounts for your car - AUTOMATIC transmission: http://dodge-car-parts.yogiautoparts.com... If you feel like reading, here is a bit of information about the function of these mounts on a car:
The
purpose of engine motor transmission mounts: Most mounts made of metal
and rubber, many newer model mounts are filled with hydraulic fluid,
some advance hydraulic mounts come with electronic variable speed
control by ECM engine control module. The basic design are the same to
support between engine, transmission and subframe. They work hard to
keep engine and transmission running smooth minimizing the amount of
rattling and vibration from acceleration and stops. At the same time
mounts are supporting all major power train systems keeping all
mechanical components in balance level and position. Motor mounts are
extremely important vehicle parts that stabilize and align a vehicle
engine inside the engine compartment. Although small in size and
relatively cheap in cost, motor mounts can cause tremendous mechanical
problems if they break or go bad. Engine motor mounts are small parts
that are used to stabilize and properly align a vehicle engine. When
motor mounts go bad, they can cause a variety of symptoms, ranging from
mechanical damage to excessive engine noise.
yes you can, fairly easy fix usually. requires you to get a new mount, support motor with jack and undo motor mount bolts, raise motor off the mount, replace mount, lower motor back into position, resecure motor mount bolts, and your done. usually just the rubber gets worn out on those things, pretty common.
"The" motor mount implies one of the three (actually the rear on is a transmission mount).
Loosen the bolts on the mounts that you are keeping.
Next, place a 2x6 about 1 ft long under the oil pan and place a jack under the oil pan and 2x6 board.
Apply pressure (just a little) to the jack.
Now, remove the bolts that hold the bad motor mount. Apply enough lift on the jack to get the engine weight off the motor mount (and no more).
Next, knock out the bad mount and insert the new mount. Insert the bolts (hand tighten).
Next, lower the jack until the block rests on the new mount. Tighten the other motor mount bolts and the new mount bolts (torque to about 35 Ft. lbs.)
