Radiator may be plugged up inside or a bad headgasket. Try the radiator first since it is far easier.

I'm sorry, but I'm a bit confused regarding your statement where you said, "I drove it without a air filter for 4 days the put in a new one but it still wont start." Please clarify. Thank you, jetski224

When you run out of fuel you
sometimes ruin the fuel pump

I would have thought you would have
said if you checked fuel pressure at least

Can't have a clogged fuel filter as you change that
every few years

1990 Jetta stopped suddenly without warning while driving.

Other possibilities are a blown ignition module, bad coil wire, or broken cam sensor (it's attached to the distributor). There are detailed tests for these in the Bentley, but your mechanic ought to be able to troubleshoot.

This is presuming it's really a no-spark failure. Ground or power faults can disable the computer, the fuel pump circuit can be open, etc.

I own a 1990 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer and for some reason it will not start. The fuel pump AND fuel filter are brand new but when you turn the car over it wont start. It tries to start the longer turn the key...

you have a fuel pump relay . Check to see if the fuel pump is humming when you turn key. check for proper ground for fuel pump. try spraying some carb cleaner into the intake then attempt a start. The engine will run for a few seconds, this will verify spark. corosion at the electrical connections is always a possibility. and lastly can you get the engine running by opening the throttle when starting?

Fuel pump and fuel filter just replaced car does not crank still ran for a few days now cranks for a split second and immidetley turns off

you may have an air lock you need to bleed your fuel pipe by this i mean loosen the fuel pipe with ignition turned on not engine running you will see fuel coming out of the pipe at this point lock the fuel nut off. this should sort it out if not check to see if the fuel filter is saturated with fuel end fuel is getting to and threw the filter.

1990 Jeep grand Wagoneer i ran out of gas, when i put gas in in the jeep the truck try to start but start draging then just did nothing,i try to jump it and steel nothing but just a clicking sound

by running out any debris in your tank will get sucked into your fuel pump. REplacing the fuel pump usually means removing the tank. You can try replacing the fuel filter first its much easier and cheaper. The filter is attached to your fuel line between the tank and the engine, usually in the frame. TAkes about 15 minutes to replace.

1995 Jeep Wrangler 2.5 4cyl spits and sputters while driving

if you have an electric fuel pump that would explain the hum. unhook your incoming fuel line and blow the line clear, sounds like you've got some junk in your tank.it'll build up on the screen in the tank then fall off (at least partially) when your making turns or hitting bumps or holes. next time it's only got a gallon or so of fuel i'd drop the tank and check the pickup tube inside. sux but that's the only way to get to it. while you've got the tank off and out from under the jeep, might as well clean it out real good and replace anything inside (usually the screen) that doesn't look right, dirty etc. wouldn't hurt to run a bottle of fuel system cleaner in the next full tank of fuel either. preferably as soon as you put your tank back. good luck
