Where is the fuel pump reset switch on a expedition ford 99

The fuel pump relay will be in the fuse box. Also, keep in mind that Ford has a fuel inertia switch located in the rear interior panels. If the car was in an accident or hit in the rear, the switch will need to be reset. Hope this helps you out.

Power comes from a fuseable link to the pump relay, then to the inertia switch on the dark green and yellow wire. Power from the inertia switch to the pump is on the pink blue or pink black wire.

all fords come with a fuel reset button. it also sounds like a bad fuel pressure regulator

Try resetting fuel pump. I do believe the reset button is on the forward passengers side of vehicle. The button is behind the plastic shield. Reset once or twice. This hopefully will fix your problem. Look in your manual for exact placement of fuel pump reset button

The "Fuel Reset" indicator light will illuminate in the instrument cluster. The shut-off switch is a device intended to stop the electric fuel pump when your vehicle has been involved in a substantial jolt. 1. Turn the ignition to the OFF position. 2. Check the fuel system for leaks. 3. If no fuel leak is apparent, reset the fuel pump shut-off switch by pushing in the reset button. 4. Turn the ignition to the ON position. Could be a bad fuel pump if the fuel is not being delivered to the engine.
This happened to a 99 ford expedition we acquired where no fuel was being delivered, even though the reset button for the inertia switch was pushed or toggled.
