How do I put my trailblazer into 4 wheel drive??

Im trying to figure out where the tcm is on my chevy trailblazer LS its not 4 wheel drive and all i can find on google is about a 4 wheel drive is it gonna be thr same location as a 4 wheel?

More than likely it is the switch alot of electric 4-wheel drive switches have been known to go bad from lack of use

Loose rattle in 4 wheel drive

front driveshaft joints worn, front ring/pinion gears or bearings worn, front locking mechinism faulty or binding. If you put the car in 4x4 and the car fails to move, as in neutral type feeling, then all your torque is going to the front, something is not locked in and its just spinning. Transfer case faulty....

My 4 wheel drive will not work in high low or auto it just stays in 2 wheel the service 4 wheeldrive light comes on its a 2004 chevy trailblazer ext

did u try putting it in high low then putting the auto into reverse first then attempt to drive. had same problem with my truck

2002 chey trailblazer 4by4 light on the swich stay on 2 wheel drive if i put into 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive and one light flash on where ever i put the swich on. feels like is goes in 4 wheel high...

The Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) in this model year have been known to hang up, try pulling fuse #48 (4WD) in the rear fuse panel located under the left rear seat. Reinstall fuse and see if everything works OK, if not, you probably need to replace the TCCM.

2005 Trailblazer no 4 wheel drive. The dash switch indicates its in 4 wheel drive but it isn't.I've been told it could be the actuator on the front differential or the shift fork on the front differential....

usually the actuator will still make the light still come on if its bad I would check the actuator

check the lubricant in the transaxle, if it is low it will cause the light to come on.

My 2007 Trailblazer is stuck in 4 wheel drive!! Help.

shift into neutral while the truck is running and switch it. it might take a second and make a thump but that should work.go into 2 high.being in auto seems to lock it up.

4 wheel drive is binding in 2002 trailblazer

the trailblazers are designed to shift from 2 wheel to AWD on the fly. BUT NOT TO EITHER OF THE 4 WHEEL OPTIONS. I'd suggest you get it to a mechanic to evaluate the damages.

Put the transmission in Neutral. Turn the switch next to the stereo to AWD, 4HI or 4LO. Some TB's have different designations on the switch, what I listed above is one. The other will say AWD, 4 with an up arrow, and 4 with a down arrow for 4 low.

Totally worked for my 2005 Chevy Trail Blazer very happy thank you I was scared thought i had already broken something I just got this truck in Sept. 2010 and I luv it.. My old truck had the same problem I was never able to figure out a 97. Again thanks..
