This happened to my 2006 Honda Pilot with 60K miles. I had 6 CDs in and it stopped working. No error, but it would not recognize when I pressed the CD, Load or Eject buttons. Everything else worked. I called Honda and they would not offer any warrantee help. I did not try to unplug the battery or any other button combos to do a "reboot". I found a refurbished replacement deck on ebay for $150. (There are super tiny numbers on the right side face of the deck, be sure to get the right one, there are minor differences.) I found an install guide http://documents.victorytechnologies.com//documents/product/939.pdf and took the old one out and put the new one in. This one seems to work fine.
There was no easy way to get the CDs out even when it was out of the dash. Had to remove the heat sync and then lots of screws. I was finally able to get to the CDs out. One of the CDs had a label that was a little warped and creased. Not sure if that caused the problem, but the owners manual does caution against CDs with labels. No more labels for me.
Hi Angela, i am having the same problem now, tried to get the install guide, but the link does not lead anywhere any help with that
Here is a link to Crutchfield's instructions. Once you remove the trip pieces, the stereo just unplugs. The refurbished stereo should plug right in. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Xr7UafkDY53...
