All of the audio features (radio and XM) work on my 2006 Honda Pilot, but not the CD changer. It does not even display that discs are loaded when the "CD" button is pressed. What could be causing this?

This happened to my 2006 Honda Pilot with 60K miles. I had 6 CDs in and it stopped working. No error, but it would not recognize when I pressed the CD, Load or Eject buttons. Everything else worked. I called Honda and they would not offer any warrantee help. I did not try to unplug the battery or any other button combos to do a "reboot". I found a refurbished replacement deck on ebay for $150. (There are super tiny numbers on the right side face of the deck, be sure to get the right one, there are minor differences.) I found an install guide http://documents.victorytechnologies.com//documents/product/939.pdf and took the old one out and put the new one in. This one seems to work fine.

There was no easy way to get the CDs out even when it was out of the dash. Had to remove the heat sync and then lots of screws. I was finally able to get to the CDs out. One of the CDs had a label that was a little warped and creased. Not sure if that caused the problem, but the owners manual does caution against CDs with labels. No more labels for me.

Here is a link to Crutchfield's instructions. Once you remove the trip pieces, the stereo just unplugs. The refurbished stereo should plug right in. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Xr7UafkDY53...

6 disc cd changer not loading

Actualy, I don't have any idea why your 6 ddisk CD Changer is not loading but my best advice: dispose of your multiple disk palyer. It's a "better mousetrap". Just install an XM radio or an MP3 player. In my car, I listen a 4 Gb pendrive with about 800 music files Last time I was in the US I rented a car with XM and hadn't even needed to touch the radio from Miami to Jacksonville.

My radio has power but no audio

Sounds like either a wiring issue at the output on the radio, or the audio circuits in the radio have failed. Start with trying to secure the output wires to the radio, if all tight then afraid it is internal.

I have a 2011 Honda Pilot. When I push the XM button it won't even change over to the XM radio. It is like there is no XM capability in my car. What can I do?

Often times you'll need an aftermarket integration kit to get an XM ready car radio to work. This is a two part system including the tuner to tie the subscription to and a translator to code it so the radio face will understand and display the information accurately. You can find such a kit for your car here: http://www.tss-radio.com/isimple-factory-ipod-xm-integration-for-honda-acura-vehicles-hd1.html

Condition
Some customers may comment on any of the following conditions:
• The CD loaded in the radio will not play.
• The CD loaded in the radio will not eject.
• The disc icon on the radio will not illuminate.
• The radio displays an "INITIALIZING" message for approximately 30 seconds after vehicle start up.
Important: Do not attempt to play CDs with paper labels on them in this CD player. The labels may warp or wrinkle and jam the CD player mechanism. Refer to the Compact Disc Care and Cleaning procedure (Document ID# 1656123) in SI for more information.
Technicians are to reprogram the radio with new operating software using the following procedure:

If cycling the power to the radio does not allow the CD(s) to be removed, the radio may have another failure that will not be corrected by the reprogramming procedure that follows. Refer to the Diagnostic Starting Point - Entertainment procedure in SI to begin your diagnosis of this failure to eject CDs concern before reprogramming the radio.
2. Reprogram the radio using the Service Programming System (SPS) with the latest software available on TIS2WEB. Refer to the SPS procedures and the Radio Programming and Set procedure in SI for more information. As always make sure your Tech 2® is updated with the latest software version.
3. Verify proper operation of the radio and make sure that all CDs can be ejected.

I have a 2006 Yukon xl Denali with the Bose radio/ Navigation and separate 6 disc cd changer. The am/fm radio works fine, but when using XM, the channels get stuck and have to be turned manually.

generally it would just need to be reset... unhook the battery for about ten minutes and hook it back up. make sure you have the unlock code for the radio FIRST and you know how to enter it.
