If the moter says sohc on the valve cover that means the cam is in the head but most ford V6 motors have the cam in the block making it have pushrods.

thank you there should also be a sticker infront of the radator or under the hood that will tell you more about the motor.
The camshaft requires a large sprocket to turn it, so if the cam is up in the head, there has to be a large cover for the timing belt that goes up to the head and for the large sprocket coming out of the head. You can't see anything like this on a push rod engine because the sprocket and camshaft is down inside the block.
