85 g20..again, sorry.. parking brake light on.. can't turn it off have not found switch in there yet BUT that light dims when hydraulic brake applied AND oil pressure gauge goes up when brake applied!

can be all of the above as for when oil pressure spike the sensor is electronic its getting a spike /surge from brake switch ---look for body ground or wire harness problem as to parking brake switch under dash attached to the emergency brake pedal also invest in a repair manual such as chilton or hayes their cheap and offer assistance into problems such as this and step by step repair

Wont charge battery

Check all cables including those to alternator for corrosion, typically greenish. Dielectric grease is helpful on contacts. New cables may not be necessary but if heavily corroded they aren't terribly expensive.

My 2004 Silverado ABS, parking brake light come on. 4x4 will not engage, fan blower will not blow, and cruise control will not work for a few days. Then it all goes away only to come back again....have had...

If the parking brake light comes on, it would indicate to me that the switch on the parking brake peddle may need adjustment. This would also deactivate the 4x4, you would not want to drive around with the brake on. Not sure about the fan blower and cruise but all are in dash and the dash does have a common ground behind the lower left kick panel. A loose ground connection can cause much havoc.

89 VETTE. ALL GAUGES IN DASH NOT WORKING . THE DASH LIGHTS DO WORK . RADIO HAS NO SOUND . INTENA DOES GO UP AND DOWN . SPEDO GAUGE NOT WORKING , FUEL GAUGE NOT WORKING , TACK NOT ...

Do you know that all this stuff was working when it was parked? Lets assume it was. Most of this stuff works with the key on or in the acc. position. You are going to need something to check for voltage. At least a test light better yet, multimeter. The dash lights however, come off the headlight switch. Start by checking for power at the fuse for the gauges it's marked "inst" for instruments it protects all the gauges including the tach and speedo. With the key on you should have power on both sides of the fuse. The antenna won't come up until you get the radio to come on. If you have power at the fuse, Your going to have to start taking the dash apart to see where the "open" in the circuit. If you have no power at the fuse, it comes from the ignition switch, it's down low on the steering column. ( I hope you're skinny)

As for the brakes, since it's been sitting that long I would be pulling the wheels off and looking for a seized caliper.

If your going to do your on work on this car I recommend investing in a good manual, try to find a factory book on ebay. or Craig's list.

This is a way cool car, have fun with it!!!

ther is a micro-switch on the park brake linkage and it is either defective or out of adjustment.

Fuel and Temp Gauge go on and off intermitently

faulty wiring for the lights, and blinkers....

broken gears for the fuel and temp gauge...

just get rid of the damn car, get a Civic of the same year.

I was given a 323 once, unsiezed the rear brakes (the idiot left the thing parked with the e-brake on all winter), then sold it for beer money.

Fuel and oil pressure gauge

hello this sounds like a bad ground to the gauge cluster first thing to try with the key in the on position tap at gauge area see is there any change if not open dash area were gauges are wiggle to see if they are grounded good into dash grab a test light take end put to the ground on one off the gauges touch other power wire with probe while key is in the on position same for both gauges if no difference reinstall you need to check grounds on both gauges by tracing wires it might be easier if you locate your oil sending unit take the wire off attach alligator clip to wire now touch positive side of batterey if it lights grounds okay trace back to units oilsender, sending unit at gas tank goodluck please rate
