P0 355 trouble code on a '00 f-250 SD with a brand new Ford long block. Put 300 miles on it and stumbles occasionally at start up and light appeared. In case in matters, I am breaking it in according to "Moto Man's" suggested method.

Have you ever changed the spark plugs? ..changed the fuel filter?.. air filter??.. replace these and see if it gets better.. you can do this yourself..

I would want to know what the fuel pressure is on the rail. Sounds like the fuel pressure regulator has failed, or the return line to the tank is blocked.
There are many sensors in the engine that will make the engine light come ON and cause this problem. Not to mention the big list of trouble codes for the engine light.
Best way to find out what's going on is to have an auto-parts store hook up a engine light code reader and tell you what the trouble code is and what it means. Most auto-part store will do this for free.
