Your climate control system is a twin system it has a duel control valve in its normal state it defaults to open both ways unless your heater matrix is blocked then if not the valve has failed or more than likely the wiring to it has corroded. on the valve electrical connector there is 3 wires the centre one is battery positive and normally goes o/c because of corroded wiring around the front bumper liner.check the centre wire using a test lamp like a 21 watt bulb to power load the supply if thats ok then you have to check the wiring back to the climate module the wiring on these cars have been a large prob around the front bumper

There is an electric auxiliary water pump for the heater near the bulkhead. This is likely to be seized and may require replacement, quite a common fault!

SOURCE: 02 Jaguar S Type - Heater blowing cold air

Has the vehicle overheated recently, if not there is a failure of the Coolant from engine valve controller, that measures flow through the Heater Matrix. Come back with more, as necessary.

97 Kia SPORTAGE : No heat, blower works, AC works,

Did you bleed your system of air???....usually a bleed screw near the thermostat housing...get allllll the air out...simetimes the heater core is at the highest oart if the system..therefore if there is air in system..thats where the air settles and no coolant will flow through the heater cire!!

My jaguar s type 2001 v8 4.0 is over heating could this be a sticky thermostat? It is overheats for about 1 minute and then it goes back to normal this only happen every once in awhile.

the 2000 s type 4.0 has a return flo head cooler line under the intake that is not visible. this line is attached to the back of the thermostat and runs to the back of the head and a small leak is hard to detect. if you are adding coolant periodically then I would have this checked. if not, then I would replace the thermostat.

Jaguar s type 2000 over heats when stop in traffic,

Hello,
Here a two of the most common causes for overheating;

1. Low coolant.

2. Faulty thermostat.

Make sure your coolant level is up to the FULL line on the coolant reservior, ( do not fill completely up or you cauld cause the check engine light to come.)

Check to see if the thermostat is working.

How to test the thermostat in most vehicles;
Make sure the heater is off, start the engine and let it run for 6 to 8 minutes, ( this will allow the
engine to reach, " normal operating temperature "), from the inside of the vehicle turn the heater
temperature on high and turn the fan speed on high.
1. Listen very closely for a click sound from the engine, ( most thermostats make a click when
they open )
2. Watch your temperature guage, it should begin to lower as the coolant starts to circulate.
3. Usually within a few minutes the radiator fan will kick.

I hope this helps you.

2000 Jaguar S type 3.0 Blows only cold air on full heat. Just replaced heater control valve with no change. Also flushed and replaced thermostat. Car operating temperaure is fine. Both heater hoses are...

Check the little pump below the brake booster for running and the coolant valve for movement.

Both hoses to fire wall should be hot.

Check for air lock in system.

Blend doors on this vehicle stop working....common complaint.

To verify Blend door movement, turn on ignition with engine off.

Run temp to max and the min..... listen under glove box for ( sliding ) motor noise as door swings from hot to cold.

This is a digital system needing a Jaguar scanner for diagnosis.

My ac is not working the controlls are on but the ac motor is not blowing

These systems are not a DIY proposition. It is a fully electronic system and only dealership tech's can diagnose your problem.

Unlikely it is a fuse as the systems components are relay driven. Usual problem with this machine is previous overheating melting the coolant flow valve under to hood just in front of the brake booster.

Reduced heat or no heat is often coolant air lock. Blend doors on this model are also a problem.

You may be one of a few who have a bad blower motor. ...but this still needs diagnosis by a tech'.

I have no heat in my 2002 jaguar s type. had new thermostat put in at beginning of summer, new coolant resivior and system flushed. hadn't needed heat till now. also fan continues to run for about 3-5...

likely to be paddle flap motor died, they used to be manual, so the vent is letting in cool air only, the flap changes position for the heat to enter, the flap on yours is not moving, so likely to be the motor
