Hey My 95 civic si has been running just fine since I purchased it last year. Woke up this morning and it wouldn't start: Turns over, check engine light comes on like it's supposed to, and I can hear the fuel pump engage, then the light shuts off. pulled my spark plugs and i can see fresh fuel, turned it over while holding spark plug near ground and there certainly sparking. Check all my fuse's, I don't understand how fuel and a spark do not create a bang. Could there be a sensor preventing my car from starting?

I'm having the same issue with my 95 civic. I parked it Monday and it was running great. When I got in the car on Wednesday to head to the market it wouldn't start. It has good spark-fuel flow-but no start. Did you figure out the problem?

Thanks,

I have a 1995 honda civic dx 1.5. One day i was driving and when I was going up a hill the car lost all its power and started running rough. It starts up ok but the enginge shakes real bad and has no power. almost like its not running off all the cylinders but each cylinder is firing fine. i replaced the spark plugs, the spark plug wires, the roter in the destributar cap, and the destributar cap. any ideas what it could be?

Motor turns over normally when i turn the key but will not catch and run

When this happens have a can of spray starting fluid on hand, spray it into the engine air intake, if the engine starts you may have a failing electric fuel pump

My 95 maxima wouldn't start one day I started by

My best guess without being able to see the car is that the battery hard wiring is faulty.

You need to check both the condition, routing and security of the battery negative and positive leads.
You also need to check the security and condition of any additional earth leads which connect the engine to the chassis/body.

My 95 honda civic cp will not crank...it was running fine when I bought it...it was almost out of gas so I put more in it..it still wouldn't crank...I've checked the battery, fuel filter, spark...

No crank and no start are two different things.
For no start, you will have to figure out if it is fuel or ignition related.
You can run a compression test on the cylinders to check the head gasket. Usually a leaking head gasket will not cause it to not start all at once.
Hondas are known for fuel pump relay problems. Do you know for a fact the injectors have fuel pressure ?

Have the car checked for the fault codes. I suspect it's your oxygen sensor.

95 civic wont start

An engine needs 3 things to run: Fuel, compression, ignition.

Maybe the timing belt went out. Take off the dist cap and see if the rotor turns as you crank the engine.

Next run a compression test on all the cylinders.
