Ask your mechanic, he knows what the clunk is, we dont. Fans dont "clunk" they whine, roar, rythmic clicking, or make vibrations, or dont work. Doors will clunk...usually.

My Ford explore 2002 but with a 2001 engine is over heating still after replacing radiator, and thermostat housing what can still cause it to over heat?

do a compression test to check for head gasket problems
if you have a mechanical fan , replace the viscous fan hub
if it has electric fans , check fans for free movement , fuses(2) fan relay and coolant temperature sensor for operation

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport no heat but the fan works, what could the problem be?

Could be that the thermostat has packed up...

Check all your coolant levels are correct and then take her for a good run out....keep your eyes on the temperature gauge,,if your temp gauge hardly moves then your thermostat is at fault....replace it.

If temp gauge works fine, you may be airlocked in your heater matrix... Try setting heater to full heat with fan on full power,, whilst car is ticking over, remove radiator / expansion bottle cap carefully and start squeezing your coolant pipes. This should force any air out through your rad/bottle top..

Please be aware that as your temperature rises in the engine. Your coolant will expand and start to flow out of the rad/expansion bottle..at this stage quickly replace the cap....check your heater...leave engine to cool....unscrew rad/bottle cap, check coolant levels, top up if necessary and squeeze pipes again..start car with heater/fan on full and repeat above.....

Hope this helps..

Is it hard to change a fuel pump in a ford explorer 2003 4lt V6?

no its not too hard if you have some mechanical ability. What you have to do is lower down your gas tank, once it is low enough you undo the lines and wiring that are going into the sending unit. Then you can pull the tank out and remove the sending unit. Your fuel pump is attached to that. Remove and replace it then reverse the removal procedure and you will be on your way again.

2003 ford explorer no heat and clicking in dash board

Clicking sound is your blend door actuator stripping it's gears and failing to open the door that directs the blower air through the heater core. Follow the sound to the actuator and remove it. Install a new one. You may have to remove some panels to get to it. The part is shown below and costs $32 at autozone. Please let me know if you have questions.

Periodic clunck in front end

A 2003 SUV will clock in over 80,000 miles.

It's time to inspect the shocks and struts.

The periodic clunck you hear in front end can cause by

mud guard boot to metal strut body contact

worn strut center post to body of strut contact

worn rubble linkage

or combination to all of the above.

I would take the SUV to a good car wash that has under carriage cleaning.

Let the SUV dry and inspect it someone who can compress the front end.

If the front of the SUV re-bound two times then the struts will need to replace.

Clunking noise

The unit in the back has its own heater core. That's what i thought the clunking was.It has to clunck to go into heating mode.It shuts off the airconditioner The clunk noise just gets louder with age because the strip around the door wears off. The unit in the front has it's heater core is underneath the glove box real hard to get to. In other word's it has two heater cores. That's why i suggested just reversing the hoses and just flushing till you could afford heater core replacement.
