The orange warning light has come on the dash, the one with the picture of an engine, apparently it means electrical?
Is it fixable or am I going to go to the Dealer and loose hundreds?

I have had this repaired numerous time. Everytime the test is run the problem is with the gas cap. I have tried a new gas cap. Within 50 miles of having the light rest it comes on again. Sometimes it comes on before I get home form the mechanic. I have it reset everytime I have my oil changed.

Apparently the lit lamda warning light means there is a problem with the emissions system, indicating that the engine management system is no longer able to control the fuel mixture. It means you need to take your Volvo in for service.

This is an engine warning light.Check all fluid levels.Check all electrical and non electrical connections to the engine. If no apparent faults seem to exist, then have a garage performa diagnostic trouble code search on the vehicle's ECU

1998 volvo s40 right hand drive: there is an orange triangle light with green in the center and an upside "y" in the center of the two. It is between the "up orange arrow" and "a an orange car with an X on it" the light comes and stays on. Dont know what it means. can you help. Thanks
