I have a Saturn ION & I have been told that the recirculation door actuator switch is going out. It clicks all the time, but the mechanic said not to use the recirculation button & then the switch would be ok until I can fix it. The problem is origninally I was told it was only about 2 hours of work & now they are saying it's 6 hrs b/c they have to take the entire dash out & the cost is yikes, is this correct?

turn the key on then push in on the plungers, also twist and turn them. with the key off the light is on a timer and will not go off right away. if the key is on the light should go on and off with plunger movment.

there is a manual switch that is located near the trunk latch for a safty lockout it might have been switched by accident look to make sure.hope this helps.

The remote won't ework because the problem is in the vehicle. Just for test purposes and possible remedy. Remove and clean the negative battery cable. Ensure a clean , tight connection. Then find the body ground. Yhis ground is locted usually at the top rear of the engine. .I's a snall stainless steel strap bolted to the engine and fire wall, This must olsobe clean with a good contack. Might as well clean the + cable and connection on the battery while you are there. Good luck and keep me posted olease. Good Luck, Ned_

the latch assembly is jammed,your gonna have to go to dealer they know how to break it out so the door will open but your gonna need a new one,make sure they got it in stock before they break theold one out otherwise your door is not gonna close
