Your ground wire connection for the OBD2 connector is located under the dash just below and to the right of the heater controls. More likely that you dont have ...

This is caused by one of your pullys being out of line with the others, posiblly because of a bad bearing or one just not assembled correctly. I'd check this with a straight edge on the front of the pullys.
Your heater box has an arm that opens the door flap to the actual heater core and this can be closed manually if you remove your glovebox and push it by hand. The other part is vacuum operated and is usually located on the top heater hose under the hood as it connects to the heater box. This vacuum operated shutoff can also be manually adjusted to the closed position and locked down until you can locate a new one.
The number was on a white card stuck in with the manual binder. Or if you don't have it, its located in the trunk, behind the left nav access panel on a silver "TCU" module about the size of 2 vhs tapes stacked together. if you look at the eject button on the nav player its located just to the right and is installed on about a 45 degree angle.
there is a white lable with the "PK" on it. i used a small telescoping mirror but you can also slightly pull back the trunk liner above the unit and it will be easily located. If any of this options works go to Bmw dealer for service and we found it in car computer.
could be a short in the blower motor or the blower motor needs replaced. the blower motor should be on pass side fire wall its round. with the heater on high and on go pull on the wires leading to the motor ans see if it comes on they are known for shorting out.
Hey,
you can install an simulator (Airbagmodul) from www.airbagmodul.com
This is a perfect and cheap solution if you dont want to spend about 1000€ in the garage.
Find the location of the fan motor. Usually on the heater cowing by the firewall under the hood but could also be inside. Disconnect the wire leading to it and run a wire from the positive 12v(fuse panel or battery) to see if the motor runs. If it does not the replace motor. If it does run the you wil have to start testing other items suchj as the heater control switch.
