The Radio has a hot feed directly from fuse #25 in under left side dash near kick panel fuse box .. also check fuses #14 and #9 .. it is not controlled by any computer module, it could be a burnt out wire ?
Nav and Radio wont work on 2002 STS after battery - 266999_hyun_3.jpg

The interior lights and door locks/alarm are controlled by the ETAC module .. which also gets its hot feed from fuse # 25 .. but the ETAC module controls lots of other devices including Wiper/defogger/fog light/door warning switch/chime bells etc. etc. and these are working ? it is possible the ETAC module is damaged internally

No fuse panel there. Perhaps the one under the hood?

Once you disconnect and reconnect the battery, your car's clock, along with all of your radio presets, will reset. If your radio has an anti-theft code, you'll need to enter it before the radio will function.
CTS has been available since its introduction as a 2003 model. To decide whether your CTS has a 3.2-liter or 3.5-liter engine, you can decode the vehicle identification number (VIN), which not only identifies cars as an anti-theft measure but also tells you about general features of the car, such as engine type, factory of origin, and whether it

    #

Locate the VIN in the lower-right corner of the windshield, stamped or etched on a plate attached to the dashboard.
    #
    2

Ensure that the third character is a 6 to confirm it's a Cadillac.
    #
    3

Check that the fourth and fifth characters are DM, DN, DP, or DR to confirm that it's a CTS. These are for 2006 model. These two characters vary by year model. For example, the set for a 2003 model is DG, DM, DR, or DU.
    #
    4

    Check the eighth character. J means the engine is a 3.1-liter V6. M and 8 both mean it's a 3.5-liter V6. 7 means it's a 3.6-liter V6. There is no GM 3.2-liter engine of any number of cylinders among 2006 models. For 2003 models, N indicates a 3.2-liter V6. There are no 3.6-liter engines for model year 2003.

hope this helps good luck tell me if it doesCheck your model year in position 10 of the VIN. 1 refers to model year 2001, 2 for 2002, and so on. You may want to look up your own model year at the Wrath website for the engine code translation specific to your model year. Once you have it, just enter it into the Wrath website search field for the two-digit year to pull up the PDF you need.

    its not in your fuses

    1.

The radio must be in LOC mode NOT in INOP mode.
    2.

Turn the ignition ON (The radio displays LOC).
    3.

Press and hold presets buttons 2

How do I get nav and radio screen to work it says theft lock

If your 2005 Cadillac STS is displaying "TheftLock" on the navigation and radio screen after replacing the battery, it means that the anti-theft system has been activated. Here are the steps you can take to unlock the system:
1. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position. Don't start the car, just turn the key to "On" position.
2. Wait for the "TheftLock" message to disappear from the navigation and radio screen. This may take up to 10 minutes.
3. Press and hold the "1" and "4" buttons on the radio simultaneously for several seconds until "000" appears on the screen.
4. Use the "TUNE" knob to enter the code that was provided with the vehicle's owner's manual. If you don't have the code, you will need to contact a Cadillac dealership or a certified mechanic to retrieve it for you.
5. Once you entered the correct code, press the "AM/FM" button to unlock the radio and navigation system.

If all doesn't work, it's time to contact a Cadillac dealership or a certified mechanic to help you sort it out.

2001 BMW X5 radio works intermittently

Most sat nav/radio issues are caused by a flat battery! The most simple solution to try is th switch the vehicle off, go to the fuse box on the right hand panel of the boot (as your facing boot) remove fuse 24 (5 amp) for 5 minutes then replace and start vehicle as normal! This will reset the nav/stereo system! Rich B

Your radio/nav system needs a code. Go the your dealer's parts department , give them the VIN of your car( should be free $0). Punch in the code through the car radio and your radio/nav system should work right away.

Can't get navigation and cd player to work

You can purchase the manual from the dealer. You need the disc for the nav system to program it. Another is you may need to have a code to operate the nav. Did you press the mode button to go from radio to cd? Try to detach the negative battery or press the reset button to factory default, this will bring you back to the factory settings. It looks like a small hole on the radio face. You must use a fine point to push it in and reset it. Is a cd stuck inside of the cd slot? Do all your trouble shooting first and you will find your answer......runjoe

After main battery replacement, the radio will not power up at al

Hi fasterboatma, Your computer stats are gone, the computer was reset when battery was disconnected, your radio is in theft mode, the radio is waiting on a code to be entered. The reason it does this is so if the radio was stolen it cant be used without the code. Look in your owners manual and see if the code is recorded there, if not call a local dealer and they can look it up, they will usually do it for free, if not you will have to take the front bezel off and see if you can see the code printed on the top of the radio. Let me know if I can assist further and please rate this solution. lone99star
