Missing real bad check engine light on runs good some times when check engine lights off but it comes back on a car want stay running

Check oil pressure sensor it is probably bad 2.4 engine is in rear of engine,jack it up and you should be able to see it

Crankshaft position sensor maybe , throttle position sensor , coolant temp. sensor etc.... It could be a lot of thing's . Instead of buying this part an that part ,take it an have it diagnosed . To a good ASE certified repair shop . Unless you like buying unneeded parts .

Engine light lit ? Have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's ! Do you know what DTC'S are for ?

Check your Back pressure valve. The hose on the top of the EGR runs to the backpressure valve loated on the firewall of your car. Also check the mass air flow sensor. There are plenty of times when the EGR code pops up that something else is wrong with that system

Can you get any codes off the check engine light? It might be one of your sensors or maybe a vaccum leak.

On many nissan altimas I have found bad ignition coils. Usually one bad one will creat a problem. The slp gets gounded through the ignition coil. When the ignition coil is going bad it shorts out other systems. Go to autozone or use a method to retrieve check engine light. If i knew the code it would be helpful. When the car is running rough disconnect one ignition coil with car off. Restart car. If car runs worse that means that coil is good. repeat process. If you have one coil disconnected and the car runs the same that means that ignition coil is not sending spark to your spark plug therefore creating a misfire and making your car run rough. That check engine light is most like likely linked to your slp light. If you find a bad coil using this teqnique replace it, your car will run better. I would like to know your check engine codes and this will determine problem better. If you have a misfire code or a po1300 code that points towards a bad coil

The filters by the fuel tank, near the rear tire.....My 89 olds was missing badly too.....Out on the road the check engine would come on, and she would bog down and buck....Shop replaced KNOCK sensor, it's a timing issue....She runs fine now, check engine light stays off too.

sounds like spark plugs and or wires a easy and affordable fix..

I would suggest going to Autozone and have them check for code or codes that might have occured,they will do it for free and diagnose what the problem might be. But anytime the check engine light comes on it has to do with your emission,possibly an oxygen sensor may have went bad,have them pull the codes and see what the prob is.
