I have a 1997 Grand Jeep Cherokee it was produce the last half of the year. I was informed that there was a difference in the first half and last half of that year. I have had numerous work done to the vehicle and the problems keep surfacing. I have put new computer, new fuel system, changed many sensors and had cadillac converter removed and had oxygen sensor tied back in the exhaust system. The vehicle still wants to die in traffic and there is times that it will not start at all, it seems to be flooding its self out you and smell the gas. some days there no problems at starting or driving, its always seem to act up only when its idling.( like stop sign, stop lights,etc.) codes have came up about map senors and others senors fuel and oxygen related. I have had them changed and engine still reads them bad and engine light stays on. Computer was reset after I change any parts, I don't know what to change or check out next. I need a new perspective on this matter.
