Simple, undo the 2 nuts that hold the glass tail-light in place, pull the frame towards you, unclip the 3 black clips that hold the plastic case in place, turn the bulb and pull out.
Replace bulb, test brake lights and put the casing back together.
Just done the wife's car, no problem and brought extra bulb incase another goes.
To change your brake light on your Car is Done from inside your Trunk, You'll need to open trunk, and on either side there is a cover on the left and right side,That will be removeable.
Just remove the cover with your Hands and it will expose your Wiring to your bulbs and you'll see a metel socket that holds your Light Bulbs, Just turn or Pull that socket out that the Wiring goes to.
Now you can remove your bad bulb and replace it with a new one.
on a Caprice you'll have 2-3 Bulbs in the Lighting assembly just have someone Push down the Brake Pedal. So you can see the Light thats not Working.
This will get your Brake Light Working. Since its only 1- Bulb thats out Eliminates that you have a Bad Brake Light Switch. If both sides are out it could be your brake light swith.

take interior cover behind tail light inside trunk off.the bulb the bulb twist locks in hole(twist counter clockwise to remove)repeat procedure to replace.
In order to replace the bulb you need to remove the pad from the inside the car where the light located ,once you remove the pad you able to reach the light holder replace the bulb fix the pad the again ...
Open the trunk and locate the trim door that covers the back of the drivers side tail light assembly. Open the door and locate the bulb holder. The bulb holder can be removed from the tail light assembly housing by turning counter clockwise 1/4 turn. Holding the bulb holder in one hand, press gently on the bulb and turn then bulb counter clockwise to remove. Replace with a combo bulb and reverse proceedure to re-install.
Yes, there is a "spear point" plastic clip that is still engaged into a socket type holder in the front outboard portion of the tail lamp assembly. Pry gently with a tape wrapped screwdriver at the front outboard corner of the assembly and the clip will release. You will then be able to see how the clip works and will be able to align and engage it first when replacing the tail lamp assembly.
remove the carpet / cover on the inside of the boot behind light and then remove the bulb holder bracket from the back of the light and replace the bulb that is gone. remember replace like for like .
