Hi,

Often brake lights and signal lights not working indicates a loose grounding of the rear electrical assembly. Other indicators would be dim and/or all the lights light up (but dimly) when engaging the breaks or activating any of the turn indicators. A way to verify this is to hardwire another/external grounding wire to any of the metal receptacles of the bulbs straight to a bare metal/chassis of the vehicle.

Of course the standard procedure of checking the fuses, the harness connectors and the wire harness themselves still apply.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

1995 mercury villager that the battery light and the brake light are on when the van is running and dash lights go on and off.

The alternator is not charging the battery. Could be a bad connection bugt usually it's the alternator that's bad. The Villager & Quest both turn on the battery light and the brake light when the charging system is not working porperly

How to replace brake light in 2008 chevy express cargo van

You have to remove the upper applique to remove the tail lamp, it is the trim panel above the lamp. I think it is held in place by two nuts/bolts but not sure. You have to have the rear doors open to remove it

You must have ripped the wires off underneath your truck, and you probably don't have brake lights anymore either. Better get somebody to repair it as soon as you can.

ABS and BRAKE light at the same time

push the pedal and see if it goes to the floor slowly or fast, if so,some thing like this i would lay on the ground in the back and have some one push the pedlal and hold it, look for fluid, like wet spot near the wheels first ( i have seen wheel cylinder go bad but not leak alot at one time so keep that in mind too) and make your way to the front on the driver side inside of the fram.i dont think its the master cylinder but see if you can see a wet spot at the bottom of the master and the booster( i seen masters not leak as will )

leaks will make the ABS lite come on

Daytime running lights

No you cannot. you could add a switch, to them but thats going to require some soldering and cutting of wires, or you could jerry-rigged the fuse, with a switch. but really you cannot shut off the running lights. before startup.
