Why won't my horn work?

I have a 4 door 89 toyota corolla and the horn doesn't work. Is it the fuse, and if so, what fuse number because I don't have the owner's manuel. Also, the check engine light comes on every now and then, so what could this possibly mean? The car was bought about a month ago and I've had the carburator rebuilt and spark plugs changed, but do I need to get a total tune up done?

My 99 Toyota Avalon does not make any sound when you press the horn push button. The horn works fine with direct power from battery. I replaced the horn relay and fuses are fine. Repaired manual says to replace the horn push button but there is no switch in the steering wheel. Can you help please?

The horn is located behind the bumper, you will need a test light to test for voltage at teh horn connections, if there is 12 volts at horn connections, this means th horn is faulty.
if the horn is okay, check the horn relay - and if that is okay it could be the horn pad inside the car.
But it will most likely be the horn itself that is faulty.
Ask your local garage / mechanic if you are lost!!!

Where can I find the location of the bolts on the torque convertor on a 89 Toyota 4 door

the bottom of your transmission at the front should have a dust cover. remove it, and you should be able to see the tork converter bolts. if it doesn't have a dust cover, the only way to see them, is to loosen the transmission, and slide it back about 2 inches. either way,, don't wear your best suit.lol

2005 toyota corolla horn doesn't work

You can replace the horn. Check to see if the wires connected to the horn have power. Check with a test light. If power is present then the horns are bad.

Would appreciate help for a Toyota Corolla 2007 non-working horn.

If the horn works with direct connection, and fuse, relay, and circuit breaker are all good, it's the switch in the steering wheel. If it is anything like the chrysler auto's, the switch and the air bag module is all one unit, can't replace just the switch, the whole thing, and it's about $700 to $800 for those units, at least it is here, and can only get them at a dealer.
