I have a 4 door 89 toyota corolla and the horn doesn't work. Is it the fuse, and if so, what fuse number because I don't have the owner's manuel. Also, the check engine light comes on every now and then, so what could this possibly mean? The car was bought about a month ago and I've had the carburator rebuilt and spark plugs changed, but do I need to get a total tune up done?
The horn is located behind the bumper, you will need a test light to
test for voltage at teh horn connections, if there is 12 volts at horn
connections, this means th horn is faulty.
if the horn is okay, check the horn relay - and if that is okay it could be the horn pad inside the car.
But it will most likely be the horn itself that is faulty.
Ask your local garage / mechanic if you are lost!!!

Sometimes my horn works on my 1989 corolla but usually only when it is over92F outside!! Ideas??
I have the same problem. My horn won't work in my 1989 Camry and I can't find the fuse to it. Need help......
My 99 Toyota Avalon does not make any sound when you press the horn push button. The horn works fine with direct power from battery. I replaced the horn relay and fuses are fine. Repaired manual says to replace the horn push button but there is no switch in the steering wheel. Can you help please?
